Chapter 7

After the whole situation that happened in the corridor this morning Crystal was quite in all our lessons and at lunch I was determine to ask her what happened between her and this so called Tyler boy.

“So Crystal what’s wrong, you haven’t said a word since you asked me for a pencil in history today” I said grabbing a tray from the rack of trays.

“I just don’t feel too well that’s all”

“Okay ......... So was sup with you and that Tyler boy, it looked to me like you two knew each other very well” I said picking up a plate of chips and a burger.

“Oh it’s nothing I just don’t want to talk about it”

“Oh please I want to help you and know what’s going on with you and Tyler” Crystal sighs as she grabs a piece of chicken

“well it all started earlier this year when I thought I was going to be with Tyler forever I mean he was my first proper boyfriend. Loads of my friends were giving me hints that he wasn’t a nice guy and was a cheater but I was blinded by him and thought the other girls were just hating, but I didn’t listen or see when he done things to me. Every girl wanted him but when they found out I was with him they backed off but not Tori who I hated from freshman year, when I wasn’t around she would flirt with him and he wouldn’t do anything to stop her. (Crystal took a deep breath then carried on) one day I saw them hugging for way to long and was way too close for just friends but I was an idiot and made him take me for a ride and play me with his stupid little made up stories. So when I was walking with my girls near the block I saw them kissing in the street corner, and from that day I realised what an idiot I acted.”

The whole time Crystal was talking I felt so sorry for her.

“Oh Crystal I’m so sorry you didn’t see but I’m sure any girl could of made that mistake, you was in love well at least you thought you was”

“You know what I’m not even hungry anymore” Crystal got up out of her seat and left me sitting there. I tried to get up and run after her but as I tried to run I tripped over someone’s foot causing me to fall and someone’s food to spill all over me. I tried to get up but there was so many people laughing at me I wanted to crawl under a rock and die.

“See look people that’s what happens when you hang out with Crystal, bad things happen to you when you’re trying to run after her” the voice sounded so familiar and when I looked up it was who I predicted, Tori.

 I gave her a dirty look then got up, she looked me dead in the eyes then said

“She’s pretty as well but hangs out with ugly Crystal, what a waste” then walked away laughing. everyone was looking at me and still laughing, I brushed myself of then looked at everyone pointing and laughing then instantly felt tears rolling down my face, I ran to the bathroom locked the door and silently cried my eyes out and wished my Dad was here to comfort me.

I was in the toilet for a long time wishing I never came to this school, while I was sitting on the toilet thinking I heard a deep male voice

 “Hello are you okay in there, I saw you crying and wanted to see if you were okay” I quickly wiped my eyes and got up “Yeah I’m fine I just fell that’s all (sniff)”

“Umm are you sure because I followed you and heard you crying” the boy said sounding concerned

“I’m fine it’s okay, but you sound like a boy what you doing in the girl’s toilet?” I’m sure I heard him laugh a little  

“Girl, boys can come in the girl’s toilet and do whatever they like and last time I checked I was a boy” he said laughing. I started laughing then decided to come out the toilet, when I came out I saw him standing there. He was dark skin and defiantly looked like Trey Songs twin; His black jeans had true Religion written down the side plus they were baggy, his black top said ‘I love hip hop’ in the centre, his almond shaped eyes matched his perfect shape up and his black and white air forces looked brand new.

“Dang girl, you real pretty” he said looking surprised like he was expecting some ugly girl to walk out.

“Yeah thanks” I said slightly getting put off then walking to the sink.

“Oh so you was on the toilet all this time (as he was talking his smile grew bigger)”

“Ha-ha very funny, but I was just thinking about something’s, then decided to wash my hands cos’ I’ve been in the dirty toilets for long” I said looking at him like he lost his mind

“I see. Well I’m Jayden, and you are .....”

                                                                    “Boy are you crazy, I don’t know you” I said looking at Jayden strangely.( I was starting to realise that the more I was hanging out with Crystal, the more I was speaking like her) He started to laugh than said

“But I want to know you; you seem cool so what’s your name girl?”

“Hmm okay then I’m Alisa, I just moved to New York and am new to this school”

“Oh okay Alisa it’s nice to meet you, How old are you?”

“I’m 16, how about you?

“I’m 16 to”. Our conversation went on for the rest of lunch until the bell went and I had to go to class.

“So I’ll see you around” I said heading out of the toilet with Jayden behind me

“Hope so, Hope to see you real soon” while he was talking he was walking backwards and staring at me while smiling and for some reason I couldn’t resist smiling back.
