Chapter 8

I was standing outside the school building looking for Crystal. I rang her about hundred times but she never answered, she wasn’t in any of her classes so I assumed she had gone home. I stood there looking confused because I didn’t know which bus took me home. I was walking around in circles until I found a bus stop, but the only problem was I never knew what bus to take.

I was wondering when I was going to see you again” Suddenly I felt the warmth of someone’s breath on my neck, I turned around and saw Jayden standing behind me.

“Boy, you love to stalk me don’t you?” I nervously leaned on my right foot with my hand on my small but reasonable sized hips. He stepped back and said

“So what, you didn’t want to see me.

-Silence-

“So what you doing at the bus stop don’t you have a car?” Jayden carried on

“Nope”

“Oh okay so how did you get to school because I know you didn’t take the bus” he said leaning against his black Mercedes.

“Umm my friend took me in her car but she went somewhere so I’m stuck taking the bus”

“I’ll take you home if you want” I looked at him like he was crazy.

“I don’t know you, for you to be taking me home” obviously he was joking because last I checked I only met this dude a few hours ago. He started to laugh then said

“I don’t bite, I’m just trying to do you a favour but if you want me to bounce then I’ll go” he turned around and headed for his car. I obviously didn’t want to take the bus so maybe he could just take me home for today

“Wait.......I’ll let you drop me home, but only if you promise to just bring me home and that’s it” he turned around when I said wait then pointed to his truck when I finished talking “what you think I’m gon’ do, kidnap you?” he said getting in the car then starting it.

“You might try to, we never know. You were capable of stalking me wasn’t you”. He looked at me and stared laughing then turned on the radio.

“So who was your friend who brought you to school, I might know her” Jayden said keeping his eyes on the road but talking to me.

“Umm........ Her names Crystal she’s my next door neighbour, do you know her?”

“Oh so you’re Alisa, When we were younger Crystal used to always talk about you” he said stopping at a red light

“Oh and you are........” I said smiling

“Oh sorry I’m Crystal’s cousin”. As we was talking we pulled up outside my house.

“How the heck do you know where I live?” I sat there stunned.

“Well I knew you were Crystals next door neighbour because she told me about you yesterday when I came to her house and said I should come meet you” he said getting out of the car

“So basically you lied and acted like you didn’t know me when you actually did” I said looking pissed.

“Well I didn’t actually lie because I had no idea how you looked and who you was until you just told me about Crystal. Because Crystals my cousin and I know where she lives and you’re her next door neighbour so I automatically know where you live, get it”

 “Yeah I get it (while I was speaking I could feel my mouth turning into a grin), so I’ll see you tomorrow at school then...bye” as I was talking I was walking closer and closer to my door.

“Bye Alisa, see you tomorrow” he said smiling.

As soon as I was inside I couldn’t stop smiling.

I was sitting on my bed reading my favorite magazine, when I saw my phone vibrating, I reached for it then saw it was Crystal; I was heading to end the call but quickly decided not to. I was still angry with her that she left me when she knew I never knew how to get home.

“Hello (she sighs with relief) I’m so glad you answered your phone”

“Oh really, you’re lucky cos’ I’m not talking to you”

“ I’m so sorry Alisa I just didn’t feel well, the nurse said I could go home but when I went back to the hall you weren’t there so I figured you left” she sounded like she was about to burst into tears.

“I was crying in the toilet after tripping and making someone’s food go all over me, because I was running after you”

“What, you was crying because everyone was laughing… Oh I’m so sorry about that” After everything that she told me I felt sorry for her.

“It’s Alright I’m fine now thanks to your cousin”

“Oh my god you met my cousin, when today?”

“Yeah he saw that I was crying and came to check if I was okay” instantly I couldn’t stop smiling.

“Yeah and what else happened because I know for sure that he never left it at that” Crystal said laughing.

“Well… when I was looking for you and never saw you I made my way to the bus stop and he offered to give me a ride home, and that’s it Crystal” I said laughing .

“O.k. if you say so”.

“Alisa it’s time for dinner come get your food” my Mum said from the kitchen.  

“Okay Crystal I’ll see you tomorrow but I got to go now so bye”

“Alright bye, speak to you later”

I ended the call put my phone down then walked out the door towards the kitchen.
