This past week has been a good one. Kwanele told me to prepare myself, apparently I'll be meeting this mayor soon... In a strip club, imagine. He said I'd have to familiarize myself with him. I trust Kwanele so I guess I'll have to take his word when he says everything is going to work out just fine.
Khanyi , Dudu, Chantelle and I are going shopping. I haven't spent time with them in a long while and since Khanyi and I made up, why not?
CHANTELLE :I want to buy King some socks, his feet smell just like his father's.
KGOPOTSO :Oh bathong King wa batho. (poor king.)
We walk around Mr Price, looking for some clothes to buy the kids.DUDU :This would be nice for Junior, don't you think?
Khanyi takes a look at the T shirt.KHANYI :I'll take it but there's a high chance that he wouldn't like it. He's becoming a problem that one. Bunking school, not doing his homework uyangicasula nje. (he's pissing me off)
KGOPOTSO :Have you tried talking to him?
She rolls her eyes.KHANYI :Akafuni ukukhuluma. (he doesn't want to talk)
CHANTELLE :Argh mahn, give him time. High school can be draining sometimes.
KHANYI :That doesn't mean he should act up, I didn't give birth to a son so he could be depressed and unruly.
Ha!KGOPOTSO : I think maybe if he has someone to talk to, to reassure him that he's loved constantly... He'll be fine.
KHANYI :I know my son, he's just looking for attention.
Yoh okay.
We continue shopping and we stop at a restaurant to eat and relax.
The food comes and we eat but then suddenly the conversation drifts to Kwanele's past life, basically his exes and guess who starts it.... Khanyisile Dlamini.
I've come to the realization that she genuinely likes stirring the pot and just wants my reaction, well I won't give her the satisfaction at all.KHANYI :Imagine, we saw him talking to.... what's her name Kgopotso?
I take a sip of my drink.KGOPOTSO :She's insignificant so I wouldn't try to remember her name.
KHANYI :Well anyways they were talking there and he seemed quite comfortable with her.
Hao lentombazane?? (this girl)CHANTELLE :En jy baby girl, how did you handle that situation? (and you)
KGOPOTSO : As his wife I took care of it.
KHANYI :Because you felt threatened by her?
CHANTELLE :Khanyi nee mahn. (no)
KGOPOTSO :No. I have a question wena Khanyi, how did you meet Dingane?
DUDU :Whuu the perfect love story!
KGOPOTSO :Well we met at a house party and we clicked from there on.
DUDU :A house party that Kwanele threw.
Oh.DUDU :She thought that Kwanele had feelings-
KHANYI :Dudu!
Hold on now... She thought that Kwanele had feelings for her, that's why she went to the house party? Interesting.KHANYI :Either way, I met the love of my life.
KGOPOTSO :Dingane or Kwanele?
She gives me look.KHANYI :What type of question is that?
I shrug my shoulders.KGOPOTSO :So let me get this straight, you went to Kwanele's house party because you thought he had a crush on you? So you went there with a sense ya hore you're going to spark something with this guy right?
