ZWIDE: He's still not talking?

ZWIDE:Our buyers are threatening to pull out, we need the product.
KWANELE :A couple of bullets to the femur won't hurt right?
I ask, turning my focus to dumbass tied to the chair. He begs for mercy but mercy isn't what's going to help him, he just needs to tell me where my damn cocaine is and he'll be a free man.
My gun goes off and two bullets pierce his skin.
?? : Bozza yami please, please!
Blood trickles down his legs. He's making a mess and it's pissing me off.A clean head shot kills him and a bodyguard escorts his body out.
KWANELE : Mthokozisi is on who hijacked the truck, I should be back with an update in less than 24 hours.
I say, shoving my gun into the back of my pants.ZWIDE: Great stuff. The girls?
KWANELE :On they're way. You spoke to James about the roadblock right? We can't have any searches with the girls on board.
ZWIDE: It's all sorted. Armando is set in Turin, the girls will be shipped to his men directly.
KWANELE : Good and Dingiswayo don't give me incompetent, middle aged women, no man will ever pay good money for that.
ZWIDE: Trust me uzothola izintombi kuphela mfana. (you'll get virgins only boy)

BANDILE :Is everything set?
KWANELE : The girls are on their way to Turin as we speak.
He takes a sip of his whiskey.MTHO: Kufanele senze umcimbi, ukubonga abadala and to introduce MaMotloung. (We need to have a ceremony, to thank our ancestors)
I nod.KWANELE :I'll have to talk to her first.
BANDILE :Yenza njalo mfana. We leave on Tuesday ukuya ekhaya. (Do so boy.... To go home)
We haven't went home since our sister's birthday last year.Going home always used to be quite a challenge for us, especially after our father passed away. With it just being the four of us, living in either North West of Johannesburg or Pretoria.... We never really had a reason to go back, so I guess now since I'm trying to make Kgopotso part of this family, it's only fair I take her to my home.
*******************************
KWANELE :How was your day?
KGOPOTSO :Would've been better if I went to work.
She's been whining about going back to her job for a while now but it's all the way in the Free State and she needs to be here at all times.KWANELE :You can get a job here.
KGOPOTSO :Ha!
She makes a face and crosses her arms.KWANELE :You'll survive without going back to work.
She ties her hair up in a bun and sits on the bed.KGOPOTSO :I don't understand why you won't let me go back, I mean I'm here Kwanele.... Isn't that enough for you?
KWANELE :No. Ngifuna ukukusa eShowe and introduce you to abakwaDlamini as my wife. (I want to take you to eShowe... The Dlaminis)
She looks away from me.
KGOPOTSO: Isn't this weird to you Kwanele, not even a little bit? I mean what if I'm stopping you from meeting the love of your life? What if-
KWANELE :There is no 'what if'. Like you said, you're here, aren't you. You're sleeping in my bed, snoring in my ears at night....I say, just let it happen.
When I was told I was to marry her, I didn't question it and that's mainly because I never questioned my mother. Yes I fooled around and had an appetite, just like any other man had but I'll always and will forever stay true to my mother's words and they are to make Kgopotso my wife at all costs.
*********************************
Is she having a nightmare right now? I check the time and it's 2:25 am. She's panting and saying things I don't understand.
KWANELE :Kgopotso... Kgopotso.
I gently wake her up. She abruptly opens her eyes and gasps out for air.KWANELE :Hey heyy... It's just a bad dream.
A single tear falls down her face as she tries to recollect herself.KGOPOTSO :Ma.. Mama.
Shit. She immediately breaks down and crying her eyes out.KGOPOTSO :I saw my mother... I.
Words betray her.
I pull her closer to my chest and hold her iny arms. After some time she moves away.
KGOPOTSO :I'm sorry for waking you.
She whispers.KWANELE : Don't be. Look Kgopotso....
I lift her chin for her to look at me.KWANELE :I'm sorry about your mother, if I could change things I would.
KGOPOTSO :I just,I miss her so much.
KWANELE :I know she's proud of you, of the woman you are.....you will become.
KGOPOTSO :If.... If me marrying you is something she would've wanted me to do then I guess I'm doing it. I'll go to eShowe with you, I'll officially be your wife.
She sniffles a little on my chest. My hand runs down her waist.
KGOPOTSO :I guess I'll take the ring then.
A little smile peers on her beautiful face.KWANELE :I guess so too.
I place a soft kiss on her lips.KWANELE :Goodnight.
KGOPOTSO :Goodnight.
