Another day dawned, and Taehyung sat quietly in the corner of the bustling classroom, his gaze fixed on the notes that had become a weekly surprise.
These notes had been appearing with increasing regularity, each one a small, enigmatic gift. Today, as he unfolded the latest note, a warm smile spread across his face.
The note itself was charming, but it was the small, endearing drawing at the bottom that caught his attention. It depicted a cute little bunny, its simple lines and playful posture adding a touch of sweetness to the message.
The corridor outside the classroom was alive with the chatter of students hurrying to their next classes. Taehyung, lost in his thoughts, walked down the corridor towards his own class. He was still musing over the note when he entered the classroom, taking his usual seat and trying to focus on the day's lessons.
The class seemed to pass in a blur of numbers and equations, a monotonous hum that Taehyung struggled to stay engaged with. As the bell rang, signalling the end of the period, students rushed out of the classroom, eager to escape the confines of their desks.
Taehyung stood up, ready to join the exodus, when he was suddenly jolted by a collision with someone. He looked up, meeting a pair of large, doe-like eyes that seemed to hold a mixture of surprise and embarrassment.
"Sorry, hyung," came the hurried apology before the owner of those eyes dashed away, disappearing into the crowd of students.
Taehyung watched the retreating figure with a mix of curiosity and concern. As he glanced down, he noticed a book lying on the floor where the boy had bumped into him. He picked it up, his fingers brushing over the worn cover as he glanced toward the door through which the boy had just fled.
As he was about to set the book aside, something small and pastel purple slipped out from between the pages. Intrigued, Taehyung picked it up and unfolded the note. His eyes were immediately drawn to the small, familiar drawing at the bottom: the same cute bunny that had adorned the previous note.
He took out one of the notes from his pocket, comparing it with the one he had just found. The drawings matched perfectly, and so did the handwriting. The realisation struck him like a bolt of lightning—these were from the same person.
A smirk slowly crept across Taehyung's face. "So it's you, huh, Jeon Jungkook?" he mused aloud, the name rolling off his tongue with a mix of amusement and anticipation. "Soon to be 𝐊𝐢𝐦 𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐤."
With a sense of satisfaction, he placed the note back inside the book and set the book carefully on Jungkook's desk. Taehyung allowed himself a final glance at the empty classroom before walking out, his thoughts swirling with possibilities and new plans. The mystery was far from over, but now he had a name to attach to the enigmatic gifts that had been brightening his days.
The corridors were beginning to empty as the last few students trickled out, and Taehyung's steps echoed softly as he made his way towards his next class. The puzzle of his secret admirer had taken on a new dimension, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement about the unexpected turn his day had taken.
