The air had that crisp autumn feel to it, the kind that makes the leaves crunch underfoot as people hurry from one place to the next. The campus was buzzing with students heading to their classes, but in one quiet corner, Yoongi and Jimin had found a moment of peace.

They'd agreed to meet under the old oak tree, a spot they both loved. The tree's branches spread wide, creating a little hideaway, away from the chaos of their usual lives.

Yoongi got there first, leaning against the tree with his hands stuffed into his jacket pockets. His gaze was distant, following the way the wind made the leaves float down. He looked a bit softer today, the usual coolness he had around him mellowed by the calm surroundings.

Jimin arrived a few minutes later, walking up with a bounce in his step. Seeing Yoongi standing there, looking so peaceful and almost vulnerable, made Jimin's heart skip. He took a deep breath, trying to shake off the nerves that had been gnawing at him for days.

"Hey, Yoongi," Jimin said, trying to sound casual but his voice betraying a bit of his excitement.

Yoongi looked over at him, his lips curling into a small smile. "Hey, Jimin. You're right on time."

Jimin walked up to him, his fingers brushing against the bark of the oak as he stopped next to Yoongi. They stood there for a moment, just listening to the quiet, the usual campus noise fading into the background.

"I've been wanting to talk to you," Jimin started, his voice a little unsure. He glanced up at Yoongi, trying to find the right words. "There's something I've been meaning to say."

Yoongi shifted, giving Jimin his full attention. "Yeah? What's on your mind?"

Jimin's hands fidgeted, and he took a deep breath. "Well... I've been thinking a lot about us. About how we've been getting closer lately."

Yoongi raised an eyebrow, clearly interested. "Go on."

Jimin hesitated for a moment, then blurted it out. "I think... I think I've fallen for you."

The words hung between them, heavy in the air. Jimin's heart hammered in his chest as he waited for Yoongi's reaction, the nerves almost unbearable.

Yoongi stood still for a moment, processing what Jimin had just said. The silence stretched on, making the seconds feel like forever. Then, Yoongi took a deep breath and stepped closer to Jimin, his expression softening.

"I've been feeling the same way," Yoongi said quietly, almost in a whisper. "I tried to ignore it, tell myself it was just a phase, but... I can't anymore."

Jimin's eyes widened in shock. His shoulders relaxed, the weight lifting off him. "You mean it?" His voice trembled, a mix of hope and disbelief.

Yoongi nodded, his gaze steady. "Yeah. I've been fighting it, but I can't deny how I feel anymore."

A smile slowly spread across Jimin's face, his heart swelling with happiness. "So... what do we do now?"

Yoongi's lips curved into a real smile, one that reached his eyes. "I guess we just take it one step at a time. See where this goes."

Jimin's grin widened. "I'd like that."

They stood there for a moment, just enjoying the quiet, the world feeling a little bit different now. The oak tree above them, strong and old, seemed like the perfect witness to this moment. Its branches swayed gently in the breeze, almost as if it were approving.

"Hey, Jimin," Yoongi said softly, breaking the silence. "I know I'm not good with words, but... I really care about you. More than I've ever said."

Jimin's eyes softened. "I know. I've felt it. I've been waiting for the right moment to tell you, and I'm glad we're finally here."

Yoongi reached out, taking Jimin's hand in his. His touch was warm, comforting. "Let's just be honest with each other, okay? No matter what happens."

Jimin squeezed his hand, feeling a sense of peace settle over him. "I promise. We'll be honest."

As the sun started to set, casting a soft golden glow across the campus, they stood there, hand in hand. The world around them seemed to slow down, everything falling into place. They'd spoken their truths and had found something real in each other. The future felt a little less uncertain now, and for once, that felt like more than enough.

Together, they started walking side by side, their fingers still linked. Their steps matched, like they were in sync with each other.
