Jungkook walked toward the backyard of the school, a quiet, almost forgotten place that most students ignored in favour of the cafeteria or library. The air was cool and fresh, with a slight breeze rustling the leaves. It was peaceful, but it only made Jungkook more nervous about the conversation he had to have.

As he reached the spot where the note had asked him to meet, he saw someone standing by a big oak tree, their back to him. It added to the mystery of the situation. Jungkook took a deep breath, trying to steady himself.

"Hey!" he called out, his voice a little shaky. "I just want to be honest with you. I can't accept your confession. I'm already in love with someone else. I hope you understand and can move on. You'll find someone better than me."

The words felt heavy, like a weight was lifting off his chest, but before he could say anything else, a familiar voice echoed in the quiet air.

"But there's no one perfect for me except you, bunny."

Jungkook froze. His heart skipped a beat. That voice it was Taehyung's. His stomach dropped as the realisation hit him hard, and suddenly, everything felt overwhelming. He wasn't ready for this especially not from Taehyung.

Turning slowly, Jungkook saw Taehyung standing there with a smirk on his face, playful but somehow serious at the same time. His eyes sparkled with both mischief and sincerity, and Jungkook's cheeks turned bright red. Taehyung was looking at him like... like there was no one else in the world.

"Taehyung...?" Jungkook whispered, his voice barely audible. "You wrote the note?"

Taehyung nodded and took a step closer, his usual cocky grin softened by a quiet kind of sincerity. "Yeah. I've been trying to figure out how to tell you for ages. I didn't expect it to be like this, but I just couldn't keep it to myself anymore."

Jungkook's mind spun. He wanted to run, to escape the awkwardness of the situation, but before he could move, Taehyung wrapped an arm around his waist, pulling him into his chest. Jungkook was caught off guard, his heart racing even faster as the warmth of Taehyung's body surrounded him, contrasting with the cool air.

"Taehyung, let me go," Jungkook protested weakly, though he couldn't deny that his pulse was racing. It felt too intimate, too real.

Taehyung's grip was firm but gentle. He leaned in, his breath warm against Jungkook's ear. "Why would I let you go? I've wanted to be with you for so long. I thought this would be the perfect way to show you how much you mean to me."

Jungkook's heart felt like it was going to burst. This confession was more intense than he expected, and it left him reeling. He thought he was ready for rejection, but hearing Taehyung's words made him feel even more confused. Part of him was overwhelmed by the situation, but there was something else... something soft and genuine that tugged at him.

"I... I didn't know you felt this way," Jungkook admitted, his voice trembling. "I've been dealing with my own feelings, and I never expected this."

Taehyung's arms loosened a little, but he didn't let go. "I get it. I didn't mean to throw this at you all of a sudden. I just had to be honest. Whatever happens, I want you to know that my feelings for you are real."

There was something so sincere in Taehyung's voice, something that made Jungkook's racing thoughts slow down. The warmth of his embrace felt safe, calming even, and Jungkook realized he wasn't as scared as he thought. He didn't know what would come next, but for the first time, he felt a small spark of hope.

The backyard was quiet except for the occasional rustle of the leaves, and the soft light of the setting sun gave the moment an almost dreamy feeling. Jungkook took a deep breath, trying to focus. He turned slightly in Taehyung's arms, their faces now inches apart, eyes locking in a moment of raw connection.

"I don't know what the future holds," Jungkook said softly, "but... I'm willing to try. Let's take it one step at a time."

Taehyung's eyes lit up, a mix of relief and joy flooding his face. He gently let go of Jungkook but kept his hands on his shoulders, a final touch of reassurance. "Thank you, Jungkook. That means more to me than you know."

For a moment, they just stood there, the tension lifting as they shared a quiet understanding. The awkwardness of the confession was gone, replaced by a sense of possibility. Whatever was coming next, they would face it together.
