Under the shade of a big oak tree in the quiet backyard of the school, Taehyung and Jungkook sat away from the noise of the school day. The afternoon sun streamed through the leaves, casting a warm glow over them. Taehyung was relaxed, leaning against the tree, while Jungkook, still blushing and a little shy from their confession earlier, was sitting in Taehyung's lap.

Taehyung's arms were wrapped gently around Jungkook's waist, his fingers brushing against Jungkook's side every so often, sending a warm shiver through him. Jungkook was still a little nervous, fidgeting with the hem of his shirt, his cheeks pink. Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle softly at how adorable Jungkook looked.

"Wait, I almost forgot!" Taehyung said suddenly, making Jungkook look up in surprise. Taehyung reached into the bag next to them and started rummaging around. Jungkook's curiosity peaked as he watched, only to see Taehyung pull out a small, carefully wrapped package.

Taehyung's eyes sparkled mischievously as he unwrapped the package, revealing a beautiful strawberry cake. Jungkook's eyes widened in surprise and delight. "I didn't know you could bake," he said, his voice a little breathless.

Taehyung smirked playfully. "Mmm, chérie, I'm full of surprises," he teased, the sweet nickname making Jungkook blush even harder. Jungkook's heart fluttered, and he smiled shyly.

"Well, it's amazing," Jungkook murmured, his voice barely above a whisper, as he leaned in a little closer. He reached for a slice of cake, their hands brushing as they both went for it at the same time. It was a simple moment, but it felt so intimate, so perfect in the calmness of the backyard.

As they shared the cake, Jungkook's mind wandered back to the note he'd received earlier. He couldn't help but smile as he remembered the way Taehyung had confessed. With a soft sigh, Jungkook looked up at Taehyung, who was already watching him with a soft, affectionate gaze.

"How did you know it was me?" Jungkook asked, his voice a little shy, but filled with curiosity. His big eyes locked with Taehyung's, waiting for the answer.

Taehyung leaned in and kissed Jungkook's cheek gently, just a quick peck that sent a warmth through Jungkook's whole body. Pulling back, Taehyung flashed a playful grin. "It was actually pretty easy," he said. "I noticed the little things, the way you reacted to certain things... And the drawings on the notes? Totally my style."

Jungkook blushed even deeper, his heart racing. "So, you were the one leaving those notes in my locker and backpack..." he murmured, a smile tugging at his lips.

Taehyung nodded, his eyes soft and sincere. "Yeah. I wanted to tell you how much you mean to me, but I didn't want to rush you into anything. I just hoped you'd notice."

Jungkook leaned back into Taehyung's arms, feeling warm and safe. He punched Taehyung playfully in the chest, a mix of affection and mild reproach in the gesture. "You really are something, you know that?"

Taehyung chuckled, his heart full as he looked down at Jungkook, the boy he cared about so much. "Guess I just couldn't help it," he said, his smile gentle. "I wanted to make sure you knew how special you are."

As the sun began to set, casting long shadows over the backyard, the two of them just sat there together in peaceful silence. The only sounds were the distant chatter of students and the occasional rustle of leaves in the soft breeze. Jungkook snuggled closer, his head resting against Taehyung's chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart.

Taehyung's voice broke the silence, soft and full of emotion. "Je t'aime," he whispered, the words flowing from his heart.

Jungkook looked up, his eyes shining with unshed tears of happiness. His voice was tender as he whispered back, "Je t'aime aussi."

In that moment, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the garden and the soft glow of the setting sun, their love felt like something that had always been there, even if they hadn't fully realised it until now.

The two of them shared the last of the cake, savouring the sweetness and the peacefulness of the moment. The world around them seemed to fade, and all that mattered was the warmth of each other's presence.

In that small, sunlit corner of the school, they found solace in each other, and as they held each other close, the future seemed full of endless possibilities.

"In the quiet moments between heartbeats, we discovered that love isn't just a feeling, but the home where our souls find peace and joy together."
