It was a typical Monday morning at the office, the rhythmic sound of keyboards clacking filled the air. Wajdan and Dua sat at their respective desks, immersed in their work while occasionally sneaking glances at one another.
The office hummed with the energy of employees engaged in conversations, but for Wajdan and Dua, the real buzz was the unspoken connection that had been growing between them.
Wajdan, the boss, had a mountain of reports to review and decisions to make for the company. He glanced up from his laptop to catch Dua shuffling papers on her desk, a concentrated look on her face. Her hair fell in soft waves, and for a moment, he lost his train of thought, mesmerized by how she bit her lip when she was focused.
"Wajdan, are you there?" Dua teased, breaking his trance with a smirk.
"Just admiring my hardworking assistant," he shot back, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
Dua rolled her eyes, but a smile tugged at her lips. "Flattery will get you nowhere, boss," she said playfully, returning to her tasks.
The morning passed in a blur of emails, meetings, and the occasional lighthearted banter between them. Wajdan found himself looking for opportunities to chat with Dua. He leaned back in his chair, pretending to study a report. "Hey, Dua, do you have that presentation ready for this afternoon?"
"Of course," she replied without looking up. "It's all set. I even added the graphs you wanted."
"Graphs, huh? Impressive. You're turning into a pro at this," he teased, giving her a sideways glance.
Dua smirked. "Well, someone has to keep you organized."
"Good point. I'm a bit of a unorganized without you," he admitted, leaning closer. "But I do pay you to be here, remember?"
"Only because I keep you in check," Dua shot back, a playful glint in her eyes.
As the day wore on, Wajdan decided it was time to discuss a project in more detail. "Dua, can you come into my office for a minute? I need your input on something," he said, trying to sound professional while excitement bubbled beneath the surface.
"Sure, boss," she replied, her tone dripping with sarcasm as she stood up and followed him into his office.
As soon as the door clicked shut behind them, Wajdan turned to her, his expression shifting from businesslike to playful. "You know, sometimes I think we should just run away together and leave all this chaos behind."
Dua laughed, shaking her head. "And leave the world to figure itself out? I think not."
He stepped closer, his voice dropping to a softer tone. "I mean it. It would be nice to have you all to myself for a while."
"Wajdan," she warned, a teasing glint in her eyes, "you're flirting with trouble."
"Only if trouble looks as good as you do," he replied, leaning in slightly, a flirtatious grin on his face.
