A silver armored Mandalorian walks across the street markets of the Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu before stopping in front of a spaceport at the end of the road near the Bakkar spire-
From within the spaceport's engine maintenance hangar, a gang of klatooinian grunts begin to surround a weathered looking weequay who hoarsely shouts out,
"Now, now boys there's no need to get upset- can't we talk about this Kaba Baiz?"The leader of the klatoonians, Kaba Baiz snorts as two of his men grab the weequay's shoulders, "We've heard enough of your words you crusty old cretin- you promised to deliver my meat packings to Glavis, so now we're going to pack you!"
Before the two klatoonians can deliver devastating blows to the weequay from behind, Din Djarin walks into the open hangar with a blaster drawn and mutters aloud,
"I wouldn't do that- I suggest you listen to that man and lay down your arms."Kaba chuckles lightly as the rest of his four men take out various butcher knives,
"Would you look at that- a beskar wearin' mandalorian- I wonder what his meat looks like under that shiny shell of his?"The weequay watches in anticipation as Din coldly responds, "If you want to find out, you'll all be dead men."
Baiz shouts something in his native klatooinian tongue and all six of his men charge at Din, who quickly shoots down two of them down before one of them manages to knock his blaster away with a swipe of his long knife-
Djarin swiftly kicks the klatooinian away before whipping out the darksaber, and upon activating it, it immediately bends forward almost as if carrying a great weight-
Despite this, Din swings the black bladed lightsaber around, managing to cut down another klatooinian thug before accidently cutting his leg with it as he stabs another through the chest-
In the moment Din struggles to stay on his feet, the last two cronies attempt to attack him front behind and the silver plated mandalorian quickly turns around and bashes their heads together hard-
As this occurs Kaba goes behind the weequay and holds a knife to his neck before snarling at Din, "Don't try anything or I'll open up his raggedy throat!"
For a second Djarin lowers the darksaber before quickly using his wrist whipcord to pull Kaba Baiz away from the hostage, and once Baiz attempts to stab Din with his blade, Djarin jabs Kaba in the chest with his own knife before slamming him down onto a close by table and ends the klatooinian with a swift swipe across his body with his lightsaber, cutting both the meat packing boss and the table in half-
The weequay stares at Din in awe for a moment before rushing over to his side,
"That was quite a show, friend! I knew you looked like the real deal-"Djarin sighs as he deactivates the darksaber, "I'm looking for a man called Hondo Ohnaka- I've been told he resides at this outer rim spaceport."
"Then you are in luck, for I am the esteemed Hondo Ohnaka!" the old weequay cackles raspily, "This is the center of my operations, Ohnaka Transport Solutions."
Din slowly looks around the empty hangar, "You need better security."
Hondo nods reluctantly, "Yes, well I do have a security force-"
As he says this, a R5 series astromech droid with a blaster pistol mounted on his head rolls into the scene before looking around and makes some sad boops-
"Well it's about time!" Ohnaka shouts out to the droid, "Don't bother making excuses P8! Just go and tell the maintenance crew to get down here at once!"
Hondo then turns to Din with a chummy smile, "My business partner is actually working on getting us some IG-RM bodyguard models- now, let us continue our conversation in a place that doesn't smell like cauterized rotting flesh- follow me!"
...
Once Hondo leads Din into his personal lounging main room, both take seats at a circular table before an RA-7 protocol droid walks up to them and Ohnaka turns and mutters, "Get me and my new friend here some fancy refreshments 4A-2R-"

[Star Wars] The Mandalorian Season Three Rewrite
Science FictionAs a huge fan of the first two seasons of the Mandalorian, I found the more recent third season to be lackluster and disappointing for a few important reasons. While I like the focus on Mandalore, the story forgot to focus on Din Djarin and reunited...
