On the outskirts of the city of Nevarro, within one of the bigger tents of camping grounds provided to the Children of the Watch, there a meeting where the remaining members of the tribe gather as the Armorer steps up to announce,
"My children, we must not falter in this dark hour! Our salvation is upon us, we must endure to see it unfold-"
"Our darkest hour-?" The voice of Paz Vizsla echoes out as the hulking mandalorian makes his way through the crowds of tribe members towards the center of the tented meeting,
"Your words speak true- for the lies and secrets you have withheld from us goes against everything you taught of us!"
The crowds of mandalorians begin to murmur as the Armorer turns to face Paz,
"My past does not define me. I forged us into something greater than what we were."Vizsla shakes his head as he comes face to face with her, "And what purpose do you have to hide your past? Your identity-?"
The Armorer looks away from Paz towards the crowds, "After so long being consumed by an honorless sense of violence, I thought it best for such ways to be left forgotten..."
"Then you are both weak and a coward!" Paz shouts aloud,
"Our tribe deserves better leadership- that is why I stand against you now.""You dare challenge me Paz Vizsla?" The Armorer sharply replies, "You have tested my prowess in battle before- and failed."
Vizsla takes out a vibroblade from his belt, "At the time I held a great respect and fear of you- now all I see is a Death Watch dog preaching a Creed she does not follow."
The Armorer looks around before raising her beskar forging tools, "Then so be it."
...
Nearby the tribe's camp Din Djarin and Greef Karga stand before Captain Skragg of the Ohnaka Gang as the silver armored mandalorian holds out a briefcase and utters,
"I thank you again for coming during our time of need. You should find my payment to be more than substantial."Skragg briefly opens up the case before looking up at Din, "Half a million credits-? That might make us now being wanted by the New Republic almost worth it- need us to stick around to guard your transport freighters from any other trouble?"
Djarin looks back at the camps before muttering, "Thanks, but I have a feeling we'll be here for a while. My ship can protect the larger transports I bought."
Skragg tips her hat before she and her men during around back towards their landed starships, "Suit yourself- if you need our services in the future, contact Hondo-"
Greef scoffs slightly as he and Din watch the Ohnaka Gang ships lift up and fly off-
Karga then turns away and sighs, "Thank the Force they left- I was worried there for a moment they'd be interested in going around my town and grabbing a few things-"
Djarin crosses his arms as he looks at Greef, "Had a bad experience with pirates?"
Karga glances over at Din and waves a hand, "Oh I have, but that was before the Empire fell- what really concerns me at the moment is a different arrival here-"
Greef looks over Din's shoulder and notices the helmeted Gideon walking towards them- "Speaking of which- I have some pressing matters to attend to-"
Djarin watches Karga walk back towards Nevarro city while Gideon approaches and mutters, "I presume you dealt with matters in relation to your pirate allies?"
Din turns around to stare at Gideon, "Yes. What's going on with the tribe? Are they ready to begin talks about returning to Mandalore?"
Gideon tilts his helmeted head slightly, "There is a concern...Paz Vizsla has challenged the Armorer for her title as leader of the Children of the Watch- if he is victorious, I do not know what fate will befall us."

[Star Wars] The Mandalorian Season Three Rewrite
Science FictionAs a huge fan of the first two seasons of the Mandalorian, I found the more recent third season to be lackluster and disappointing for a few important reasons. While I like the focus on Mandalore, the story forgot to focus on Din Djarin and reunited...
