Chapter 22: The Enigma of us

**** I begged the Stars for more time with you, and yet they took you anyway , they left me guessing where you could have gone , they left me wondering which star was you I wondered why they heard my cry but took you anyway , I wonder why they choose you.....*

Taemin stepped a side allowing Jungkook to enter the house. The familiar scent of home wrapped around them, but the atmosphere felt change within unspoken tension. As the door clicked shut Taemin turned to Jungkook, his heart racing.

" Welcome back Lisa......i've been studying this grimoire for a long time," Taemin began , gesturing to the ancient book resting on the table. "It's said to hold secret about past and reincarnation.. I thought it might help me understand.. everything that's been happening with Jimin and you since that day you called me about your dreams I knew they were not just dream so i started looking."

Jungkook's eye widened as he approached the table, his finger brushing over the worn pages. " You thought this could help me and Jimin remember our past life?"

Taemin nodded, a mix of hope and uncertainty in his gaze." But you're here now you can have it , when I found it , I felt a glimpse of hope knowing it will come in handy in the future when I would find Jimin but when I found him it gotten even harder... "

" How did you know that I was Lisa and what happened after all of that stuff happened considering you remember everything you even wrote a book about the two mythical creatures? " Jungkook asked with curiosity.

Taemin took a deep breath, knowing Jungkook needed clarity." It's a lot to unpack but I'll try hard to explain, " he began his voice calm yet heavy with emotion." A spell was cast on me by your grandma, right after... Well, everything happened.

He glance at Jungkook, gauging his reaction. " Lisa ... you know you didn't saw any of it because you had already died at least that what we knew at that time but you weren't dead..."

Jungkook's brow furrowed in confusion. "But how do you remember all this? I can't even recall what happened after Lisa... you know me died."

Taemin stood straight, " the spell was not to take my memories but to put me in a sleep until Jimin was to be reborn , that's the only way I could wake up, so after the spell was done I went to a deep sleep then one day I just woke up and found the book next to me so I took it, I really couldn't gasped where I was , but when I got out that cave ,outside of it was a big oak tree on it I saw my feline tempest.. "

" So you mean that dove over there is tempest?.., " Jungkook cut him of while pointing at the bird that was resting in it's cage ," yeah and it still can sense everything,"Taemin said.

" So you mean you haven't age since and you been following Jimin all around without telling him who you are " Jungkook stood up walking towards the bird.

" Yeah haven't, even though I could have told him , he still wouldn't have remember a thing so, I have been looking for ways to make him remember but all of them didn't work that's why I came back to this grimoire .... And you how did you remember? ".

Jungkook turned to him , his hand resting on the bird cage," it was you who helped me to remember, at that time when you called my past life name it was like floodgate opened. Memories came rushing back flushes of everything , I saw my life as Lisa , I saw the prince, I saw Genova and Grandgrest..... and I saw my grandma I saw everything Taemin.. " tears that he was trying to hide start rolling out of his eyeballs but they didn't went unnoticed by taemin and quickly he went and grabbed him into a hug.

" It's okay,... now, you're back now everything will change " he said calmly as he pat his back, but quickly everything changed when Jungkook quickly pulled back.." Taemin Jimin is in danger again "these words went onto Taemin's ears like a sharp sword.." wait a minute, " Jungkook said as his dore eyes open wide as if he just got the biggest twist," if your feline tempest is back with you...that means snow Jimin's feline is back as well..? Taemin looked at him and node.

" And you guys have seen and met it," he replied ,that's when realization hit Jungkook like a bomb , " the cat.. the black cat that Jimin always tells me about?". " Yes snow is the black cat", Taemin revealed his mystery.

" Destiny really did entwined with you too , but now we have to protect Jimin from your uncle cause here in town, " Jungkook said face changed from being normal to seriousness," what he's here..... How I thought he was around somewhere but not here?, " Taemin said walking towards Jungkook," it hasn't been only only you who've been following Jimin around " Jungkook replied." The moment I wore this necklace "he reaching out to the necklace on his chest,"I started feeling strange stuff each time Jimin is around me it's like... " he came into contact with someone using dark magic" taemin cut him off," but the big question is who.

Jimin tossed and turned, the darkness of the night wrapping around him like a suffocating blanket. Suddenly, imagines began to swirl in his mind, vivid and haunting. He found himself in grand palace, draped in Silks and adorned with jewel that glimmered in the candlelight. He was a prince, regal and powerful, but his heart was heavy with the weight of forbidden love.

He could see his lover standing Infront of him his delicate silhouette framed by the moonlight. Their eyes met and in that moment everything felt right. But then, shadows loomed, and whispers of betrayal echoed around them tearing them apart. Jimin reached out desperation clawing at his chest, but the scenes began to fade when he felt a pain on his chest, he saw blood and when he looked at his lover he also so blood but then as the feeling fade, darkness swallowed the light.

"Taemin....." With a sudden gasp , he jolted awake his heart racing with tears coming out of his eyes. The remnants of the nightmare clung to him like a shroud, and he blinked against the dim light of the room. His gaze fell on V, who sat quietly next to him, a concerned expression etched on his face.

" What are you doing in my room so late in the middle of the night and how in God's name did you get in here " Jimin asked his voice a mix of confusion and hurt." Which part of " we need a break from each other didn't you get"

V rubbed the back of his neck , a sheepish grin forming. " Am sorry I know we are on a break but I need your help with something". As the shadows in the room deepened Jimin's pulse quickened chill running down his spine. " What do you need my help with?"he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

V's gaze pierced through the darkness, his expression grave . "I need you to remember..... prince" he said, each word dripping with urgency and unspoken dread, leaving Jimin to gasp for air cause how in the world would V have known about his dream.
