Wish me a happy birthday guys!!! Sorry for not posting, with school and volleyball everything is kinda crazy. Currently listening to Tayler Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Olivia Rodrigo.

Sophie is pacing back and forth.
Back and forth.
Back and forth.

Her feet are dragging along the shaggy tan carpet lain in the middle of the living room. She can hear the little static ticks along the ends of her socks and she does, but she can't bring herself to care. Keefe left an hour ago saying, "Be back in 15 minutes, Foster."

Liar.

Sophie brings a hand up to her eyelash, about to tug it out when Ro walks in. "What's with the major freak out fest going on in here?"

Sophie's shoulders slump and she exhales sharply, "Nothing." She buries a hand in her hair, trying her best not to freak out in front of the bodyguards. The little hairs on the back of her neck are standing up, and she already knows why. Keefe was taken by the Neverseen.

Ro walks in front of her, stopping Sophie's pacing by using her big, bulky body as a roadblock. "What's wrong, Blondie?"

Sophie groans and plops down on the couch, "Keefe said he would be back in 15 minutes an hour ago!"

Ro makes a little humming noise, grinning stupidly. Sophie narrows her eyes at her and sits up, placing her hands on her knees. "What are you making that sound for?"

Ro's grin grows wider. "You worried about him?"

"What? No of course n-ugh, whatever." She groans and leans back against the cushions, fidgeting with her lashes. Of course she cares about him, he's her...boyfriend? Well, they hadn't exactly had the conversation yet. But Sophie had seen those many rom com movies, she isn't stupid. She doesn't want to be one of those girlfriends that is always freaking out about if her boyfriend loves her or not. Sophie digs the heels of her hands into her eyes. Not the time, Sophie.

Ro's expression is teasing, but it softens a bit when she examines Sophie further. She plops down on the couch next to her, "Look, Blondie. Keefe is okay. He can handle himself, alright? I'm sure he'll be walking through that door any second now-"

Keefe bursts through the door.

Sophie turns to Ro openmouthed, "How did you guess that? Did you summon him or something?" Ro shrugs, "I can tell these things, Auntie Ro is smarter than you think."

Sophie stands off the couch and walks over to Keefe. He holds a hand out, grinning. The other hand is behind his back. He clicks his tongue, "Ah, ah, ah. I'm fine, I swear."

She puts her hands on her hips, "Fine?  You said 'be back in 15' and didn't show up until 45 minutes later!"

Keefe tilts his head to the side, "You worried about me?"

Sophie glances at Ro. They are spending WAY too much time together. "Of course I'm worried Keefe, you're my..." She swallows, "Where were you?"

He obviously notices how she trails off, and she internally smacks herself for running her mouth. Keefe's lips twitch into a small grin and he finally brings the hand behind his back forward. Sophie's mouth drops open.

Keefe is holding a bouquet of daisies and sunflowers. Her favorite. He's beaming from ear to ear, obviously impressed with himself. Sophie chews on the inside of her cheek to stop her joy from showing, "You...you got me flowers?"

"Yeah, daisies and sunflowers."

He says it so nonchalantly, Sophie wants to wrap him in a huge hug. And she will.

She gently pulls the flowers out of his hand and rests them on the counter. Sophie pounces on Keefe, wrapping her legs around his waist and arms around his neck. She squeals, "You got me flowers!"

Keefe laughs, "Yeah! I didn't think you would be so happy about it."

"Happy?" Sophie repeats, grinning. She kisses him on the cheek, "I'm ecstatic."

Keefe grins, "Ah, ecstatic. My bad." He's obviously mocking her, but she can't bring herself to care. She buries her hands in his hair, still clinging on to him like a koala bear. Sophie kisses the tip of his nose. His grin widens into something slightly flustered. "Why?" Sophie asks.

"Why what?"

"Why did you get me flowers?"

Keefe nuzzles his nose against hers, "Just because. My girl deserves flowers."

His girl.

Sophie smiles and giggles, "You're so amazing."

"I know. It's the hair that's really the cherry on top, don't you thi-"

Sophie cuts him off with another kiss to his cheek. He immediately breaks into a smile, his cheeks flushing slightly.

"Alright, alright. Let's go put these in a vase, huh?"

Sophie nods.
