Park Dae-hyun stood in a form fitting, clean buttoned pressed shirt. Tucked into sleek pants, fussing over the stylist who was trying to fix his hair in order to give him a natural clean swept look. The stylist looked about an inch away from almost tearing his head off.
Yunjin understood completely how she felt.
She stood beside Chaewon, watching and waiting for the actor to get ready for the pre-filmed interview. Thankfully, it was an indoor set and photoshoot, so it was just a matter of standing around and making sure he wasn't going to be doing anything stupid.
Chaewon had invited Yunjin out to a chicken place last night for dinner. After the conversation in the cab and the discussion about that incident, Yunjin admittedly felt like a whole weight was lifted off her shoulders. Chaewon was also in a better mood, and dinner had gone down with nothing but a few friendly spats and arguments— nothing more.
She figured, out of everything, that was the best possible thing to happen.
What wasn't a good thing however, was how quickly Yunjin's heart had lept right back into action. And it was like all those years had never passed. She woke up beside Chaewon that morning with her heart lumped in her throat and brain frazzled over the fact that her bare arm was touching Chaewon's. It shouldn't have been such a major thing, but in Yunjin's brain it felt like a million different things were firing off at once.
Breakfast was a civil affair, and so was picking up Dae-hyun to drive him over to the set. But now that Chaewon wasn't focusing on her, Yunjin's attention had slipped right onto watching the older woman. Her eyes flitted to soak in the image of Chaewon in a simple black button up and snug grey office pants that hugged her hips. Yunjin was like a teenage boy shamelessly staring at Chaewon in this manner, but what else was she supposed to do when she was standing right in front of her like that?
This is what good closure does to a woman that's practically whipped from the beginning and who's clearly never ever gotten over her first crush. Clearly, TikTok wasn't wrong in those claims.
"...Helloooooo! Earth to Yunjin!" Chaewon cooed. She grinned, face barely inches away from Yunjin, her breath tickling Yunjin's cheek. She giggled when the surprise filtered right over her and stood back before Yunjin's face could get too red. "Jeez... what were you day dreaming about? I've been calling for you for the last... like. Minute. You went all slack faced. Did you see someone cute?" Chaewon teased.
(You. You're so so sooo cute I wanna-)
Yunjin cleared her throat, physically shaking her head to try and get rid of the thoughts that immediately crawled back up to her brain. "Ahh- uhh... n-no. No no. No I was just... just watching Dae-hyun-ssi and I think I zoned out when he... he was starting to complain about his hair. I don't know what is wrong with this guy -- I mean who is so worried about... about hair? " Yunjin stumbled, her words clamming in her throat like an overarching waterfall.
She was so whipped she might as well not even try to make herself look any better.
Chaewon just laughed gently, her head shaking as she took in everything Yunjin said. "I know what you mean. He's the most insufferable, annoying, airhead I've ever met. And I thought you were bad." She giggled and glanced down to briefly break the conversation. With a deep breath, Chaewon quickly looked back up at Yunjin. "Anyways. I got information."
"How?-"
"Doesn't matter," Chaewon waved off. "I was looking through socials. The fans of this show are crazy. But it's rumoured that his co-actress Lee Hyeon will be at the Jangseng Geongangwon at 7 tonight. We're going to go there."
