Yunjin tightly held her breath, heartbeat practically ready to leap right out of her chest. She turned her head back and forth to look down the hallway, as if anyone was going to randomly appear.

Chaewon was in Dae-hyun's apartment.

Yunjin had run along with the presumption that he was dealing with some form of illegal drug handling, or at least the purchase of it. As the only real lead in the case, she took the first opportunity with Dae-hyun deciding he needed to go out golfing to be towed away with the other bodyguards and out of sight for them to do this.

Slipping the key from Dae-hyun's place was as easy as taking candy from a baby, and next thing she knew, Yunjin was clutching onto her walkie-talkie with her back against the door, praying Chaewon was okay inside.

Yunjin lifted the walkie-talkie to her lips as she stared at her phone. "Unnie... how far along are you?"

The click and buzz of the other end rang out. "Calm down yeoja. I'm still looking," Chaewon huffed. Distantly, Yunjin heard the sound of a door creaking open and some shuffling. "I think I found his office. It's a mess."

Yunjin's eyebrows scrunched together in worry at the sight of the notification on her phone. The receptionist downstairs alerted that Dae-hyun was going to be back earlier than expected. She panicked.

"Unnie–!"

"Jeez, yeoja!" Chaewon's voice crackled. She quickly squealed. "I found something!"

"N-No... no no. Unnie we gotta get out now–"

The other end went silent.

The panic that Yunjin held was about to make her spiral, just with how long it was taking Chaewon to get herself out of the apartment. If they got caught, it would be all over –

The walkie-talkie crackled back to life. "Guess what! I found something."

Wide eyed, Yunjin was busy staring at the end of the hallway as the elevator lights slowly lit up. The numbers steadily began to creep up. She had maybe one minute, or two, depending on how many levels were in the apartment block. "Just – just get out."

More shuffling was heard on the other side. "Wait... hold on." Chaewon muttered. "Okay... just-- I need to--"

" Get out. "

The elevator doors clicked and chimed before slowly beginning to open. Just as Yunjin saw the sight of Dae-hyun at the far end of the hallway, she felt the presence of Chaewon beside her. She quickly whipped her head around, hand grabbing at Chaewon's elbow. "That was so stupid. What if... what if you got caught?"

Chaewon smiled and giggled, pressing against Yunjin's arm. "Don't worry about it."

Dae-hyun walked up to them both with a heavy sigh, the eyeroll already set in his face as he slowly approached. The other guards there looked sick of it all, but Yunjin was happy to just wave them off so they could go home and recuperate from the whole thing.

Chaewon stood silently until she couldn't hear anything suspicious from Dae-hyun inside and immediately whipped her phone out. "I got some pictures," Yunjin grinned, ear to ear. "Look."

Her phone clicked open and went straight to the photos app, Chaewon pulling up the images she had taken. Albeit blurry, but they were there. Multiple letters and printed documents about payments that he supposedly owed. Underneath a fake name, the company was charging upwards of almost 5 billion won that Dae-hyun owed. The payments increased, and so did further images of other letters demanding for more and more money.

"It wasn't all of it, but I think I managed to get most of it." Chaewon said confidently. "This is amazing, yeoja! This means we're close. You'd be able to look into it, right? I'm sure you will. Before tomorrow night's event. And– and I can call for backup... and get us some armoury."
