The Windblume Festival was in full swing by the time Y/n started her patrol shift around lunch, her armor on and eyes sharp. But there was nothing criminal to actually pay attention to, though. The biggest crime at the Windblume Festival was how much of a rip off the game stands were, but the Knights couldn't do anything about it.

So she strolled through the town. When she makes her way towards the Angel's Share, she notices the door is open. She peeked in from afar, seeing the red ponytail moving around as he worked. She smiled as she changed course, making her way inside the tavern.

She sat in her usual chair, tapping the bar twice. ''I wonder what I should drink. What would you recommend?''

Diluc turned around at her voice, the small, barely-noticable smile she was starting to get used to on his face. ''Hello, Y/n. I didn't hear you come in.'' Diluc looked down as he poured something in a glass, then handed over the purple drink. ''Here, try this. New recepie. On the house.''

Y/n chuckled as she took the glass, looking up at Diluc. ''Ever since you've been back, everything's been on the house, Diluc.''

''Are you complaining?''

''No, not at all.'' Y/n took a sip of the drink to prove a point, then hummed. ''It's good. Wolfhook?''

''That's right.''

Y/n took another sip as she watched Diluc work. This, too, was starting to become a norm. She enjoyed watching him doing tasks behind the counter, talking to him about anything and everything. ''So . . . when do you get off? I wanna go explore the festival.''

Diluc quirked an eyebrow. ''Aren't you supposed to be patrolling?''

''Well, I can patrol and look around. Besides, it's the Windblume Festival. Nothing is going to happen.'' Y/n expected him to react, to tell her that her words were proving that the Knights were useless. She'd realized her own implication too late.

But Diluc only nodded. ''Charles should be here pretty soon, then we can go.''

As said, Charles showed up about twenty minutes later, allowing Diluc to leave and enjoy the Festival. They made it out of the city to where the game stands were, Y/n's eyes spotting an archery game.

She pointed over, looking at Diluc. ''Would you like to try that one?''

Diluc checked out the stand, then shook his head. ''I'm not very well versed with the bow, but you should go ahead and . . . give it a shot.''

Y/n chuckled at the pun, summoning her bow as she walked towards the stand. ''Alright then.''

After paying the fare, Y/n moved to the designated place and watched as the targets rose in the air, finding their places. Y/n aimed her bow, taking a breath, exhaling and letting the arrow fly. The target disappeared once it was hit, and Y/n swiftly moved to hit the other four.

Once the first phase was over, a third and a fourth one came, only for her to clear them without breaking a sweat. The person behind the counter congratulated her, giving her her price ━ a balloon that resembled the targets she'd had to hit.

After taking it, Y/n noticed a little girl standing to the side, watching the balloon with wide eyes. Y/n smiled at the girl, handing the balloon over. ''There you go, I'm sure you'll enjoy it more than me.''

The girl gasped, her eyes sparkling as she took the string and clutched it to her chest. ''Thank you, Miss Y/n!'' Then she ran off to another group of kids, showing off what she'd just been given.

There was a second game booth, though that one was music based. Regardless, Y/n tugged on Diluc's coat sleeve. ''Let's go try that one!''

Diluc crossed his arms. ''I'm not sure, I━''
