Her hand flew to her neck to stop the blood she thought was gushing out but the wound wasn't there. It was almost as if Damon hadn't bit her. But she could remember the shock of pain that followed after his fangs pierced her skin; the euphoria that washed over her as he fed from her like a man who hasn't had food in years.

"How is this..."

"Possible?" Allie finished. "Come on, Bonnie, you should know that what happens to you in the real world doesn't affect you in the dream world."

Her eyebrows pinched together. "So this is a dream? You're not really in my head this time."

Allie looked at the vampire. Bonnie remembered his name was Rhys. He looked different, less vampire, more...something. She couldn't put her finger on it. Even though the cave they were in was dark, the torches that lined the wall made it bright enough for her to see the color in his cheeks. He wasn't as pale as a vampire should be.

The two looked like they were having a conversation only their lips weren't moving and Bonnie couldn't hear a word they were saying. They both nodded at the same time; a quiet understanding passing between them. Rhys was next to her before she could even blink; scooping her up and cradling her in his arms like a baby. Before she could protest, he pressed two fingers to her forehead and murmured what sounded like a spell to put her to sleep.

Bonnie wanted to know how he knew it and, more importantly, how he, a vampire, had magic but her eyes grew heavy and the questions she had died on her lips as she drifted to sleep. When she came to, she was sitting in a chair in the middle of the room, surrounded by other witches and vampires. There were ten of them besides Allie and Rhys. In the present day, not all witches got along with vampires. The only interaction they had with each other was strictly business but this group looked like they were friends. As she took in the linked hands and the proximity between each vampire and witch, she surmised that maybe all of them were more than friends.

A girl with long, waist-length black hair and smooth brown skin was the first to speak. "So this is what a Bennett witch looks like." Her dark eyes swept over Bonnie. "I was expecting her to be more...intimidating." The chuckles that followed were few but it was enough for the fire inside of her to ignite. She didn't know who these people were or what was going on but she did know that. she wasn't going to let herself be insulted.

Her powers surged to life, sending a gust of wind through the room they were in. "Who said I couldn't be intimidating?" she bit out but before she could knock the girl down, a cool hand touched her arm sending a wave of calm over her. She looked up to find a woman with thick red hair staring down at her.

"Don't let Neha rile you up," the woman said, smiling. The fangs she had were hard to miss.

Bonnie pulled away, so fast, that she hadn't realized how quickly she moved until she noticed the distance that was between her and the red-headed vampire who, like Rhys, had powers that someone like them shouldn't have.

It was unnatural.

It was wrong.

And yet, so was her speed. This wasn't the first time she moved from one point to another faster than the speed of light. Ever since she drink from Damon, something about her has been different. She knew it. Damon knew it. But he never brought it up and neither did she. They had enough on their plates and talking about how she reacted to his blood didn't need to be added to the list of problems they needed to solve unless it had anything to do with getting them home to present day Mystic Falls.

"Who are you?" she managed to ask, her heart rattling in her chest as if it were a prisoner in a cage. Her hand touched her neck at the place where her wound should've been once more. The harder she pressed on it, the easier it was for her to feel the pain that came with Damon's bite. She used the ache to anchor her; to reassure her that she would get home to Damon and everything would be okay.
