Chapter 28: It's Not Over

  "Guys, check out this creepy note I found on my bedroom door this morning." Phil announced a few days later. "Creepy?" Jackson echoed. Phil nodded. "Because of that, I think it's something to do with the DollMaker." "Why?" Amelia asked. "Because it's signed 'C' at the bottom." Phil explained, casually. "My cousins told me when a note is signed as only one letter than it's from usually a DollMaker doll." "What does that note say Phil?" Lisa asked. 

"As per our agreement, New York Mystery Crew, 
the DollMaker is not quite done with you, specifically
that high school joker you have reading this note.
My job is too slow down his progress, but as I have
not been off the shelf in more than two hundred years,
I don't know how helpful I'll be without the knowledgeful
one."

  "That doesn't sound good." Jackson commented. "No, not really." Phil agreed.

 "I need time to convince him to let me go "after
you" after the last incident I had with my sisters,
Isabelle and Cora. I have sent a help request to the
DollMaker's brother to keep you busy while I'm
working my magic on the DollMaker. Good luck
New York Mystery Crew. You need it for your next
adventures.

  "That's all it says." "It sounds like we have a few more battles to fight before we can truly stop the DollMaker." Jackson commented. "Well, whatever this new villain decides to throw at us, we'll be ready for it." Phil agreed. "Looks like we better get preparing than." Lisa said. "Looks like we still have a long journey ahead of us in winning this battle." Caleb pointed out. Phil groaned. "When will these men ever give up!?" "Not for a long time I'm afraid." Rachel explained.

  Amelia looked around the room, glancing at each one of her friends. "Well, we'd better get started then."
