"No......" my heart was in my throat. There was Lorna tied to a chair, tears streaming from her eyes as her mouth was covered with a cloth. "Let her go!" I pushed myself up as my hands slammed to the table. "You disgusting creatures. She has done nothing wrong to you." I spat as William held my waist, pulling me back to my seat.

"Father, what are you doing?" Louis asked exasperated as his eyes sympathized at the sight of her.

"What is it you want, tell us, and we will do it, just let her go." I pulled at the side of my hair as I thought about anyway I could help her, but I was helpless, what could I do against such powerful creatures.

"Why don't you come up, after all you have bought nothing but complication to my palace since being here, Miss Thorn." The master circled Lorna as if she were his prey as he ushered me to the center stage.

"Don't you even think about it." Henry growled at me as I raised to my feet.

"I have to, it's the only way I can help her."

"You think they are going to let her go. They are just playing with their food, Eleanor." Will smiled wryly as he sighed. "She's as good as dead."

"No, don't you say that."

"Don't keep me waiting, Miss Thorn." He sadistically waved the knife around into the air.

"She will not be coming anywhere near you, now get on with your ridiculous performance so we can get on with our evening." Henry picked up the fork next to him as he stabbed it into the oak table.

"You are such an angry boy, I had so much hope for your potential as a vampire, but you have disappointed me in so many ways, Henry. You see if anyone is to blame here it is yourself. I must say you hid the necklace well, I never believed my son would betray me in the way you have, but look what happens when you fall in love, you let things slip Henry, I mean giving something so valuable to a weak little human."

"So you have the necklace, now what, you can go on pretending how important and superior you are, when really you are sad and lonely and do you know what father, that only makes you weak."Henry smirked as he chuckled to himself, the master now turning crimson at his son's demoralisation of his character.

"Well I think it is about time we put this necklace to the test." He pushed Lorna's head back as he admired the the heart shape from afar, appearing nervous of any contact with it.

"How does this necklace work, she will be safe if she is wearing it, won't she?" I whispered to Henry as he grimaced slightly. "Henry?"

"I honestly don't know, it's never needed to work."

"Louis?" I yearned for anything, I just needed someone to give me clarification of what was about to happen.

"I don't know Eleanor, I'm sorry, I truly am sorry."

"Carlos, would you like to do the honors, I'm thinking if we cut just here?" He held the knife to her throat as she looked at me with such sadness in her eyes, I believed she had already excepted her fate. "That way she will bleed to death, and we will see what this necklace can really do." I noticed what a coward the master was, making sure Carlos did his dirty work for him, he feared the necklace more than he let on.

"Oh with pleasure master it's been so long we have been searching for this and now the day has finally come." He unbuttoned his waistcoat as he knelt before Lorna. "But first shall we hear her scream it's always much more fun when you hear them cry begging for their life?" He pulled the gag from her mouth as she did not mutter a single word. She was beyond brave as she held herself with such grace and composure. "Very disappointing, I must say."
