"Elle, Eleanor you need to wake up." Henry's voice whispered as his voice appeared far away.
"Eleanor, wake up." I was startled from my trip to heaven as I looked around in amazement. For there stood around me the three vampires who had become my life and my beautiful mother, who I thought I would never see again.
"Where are we?" I croaked as my mind felt heavy. Everything was a blur around us, it was as if we were captured into a big bubble floating aimlessly into the air.
"We need you to listen, we don't have long." Henry took my hand as I could feel the warmth of his touch.
"Eleanor, I cannot hold this spell for much longer, I need you to think carefully about what it is you wish to do." My eyes narrowed as in the near distance I could picture a silhouette with long flowing hair.
"Hold on, have you frozen time?" I swallowed back the lump in my throat as I could now see the outside world as still as day.
"Yes, but it is getting harder to control, the other witches they are not pleased with my decision. Eleanor, please I need to know what you want me to do next."
"Mum, oh mum, it is you." I ran to her, throwing my arms around her body as I felt her skeletal features. She held me tight as we enjoyed the embrace of one another. "How are you, are you ok."
"Yes, I am fine, but you need to listen, to what she is saying."
"Mum, I don't want to make this choice, whatever I decide somebody close to me will die." A tear ran down my cheek as she cupped my face, wiping it away with her thumb.
"Use this Eleanor." Her hand pressed to my heart, "you have always been so strong-minded and kind, whatever you decide it will be the right choice."
"Mum what would you do if you were me."
"I know I would do anything to protect you and Jessica." I pressed my lips tight as she softly smiled. "It's ok, I know. Henry has told me, you do not need to burden yourself further with keeping it hidden from me."
"I'm sorry." I breathed a sigh of relief as she stroked my face.
"I can no longer protect you Eleanor, but these boys can." Her eyes widened as she nodded.
"So you think I should not kill the master with my blood?"
"Not just to save me no."
"No, please you need to ask her to finish this. We have lived beyond our lives, she hasn't." Henry sighed aloud as his hand beat to his forehead.
"Eleanor, I need an answer." The voice was shaky as my chest heaved in anticipation.
"Henry, can you promise me that if she were to kill the master that there would be no other vampires to build a kingdom such as him?" My mother looked at him as he hung his head. "Henry?"
"No, he cannot promise that because there will always be others. If not our father, then somebody else will one day build an army." Louis rolled up his sleeves as he shrugged lightly.
"Then my little girl will need you all alive to protect her from this world."
"He will kill her if she stays here, let alone us too."
"I have the necklace, Henry, he cannot harm me."
"The witches only wanted one outcome from this and that is to have him killed by your blood. Now if you do not do what they want, then the necklace is worthless anyway."
"Is that true?" I looked at the silhouette, who was appearing weaker by the minute.
"The majority will not agree with your choice."
