a/n - was thinking about how much I love Jude and Hannah today, so I decided to write a bonus chapter full of pure fluff. enjoy :)

The sound of baby giggling draws my attention away from where I stand at the kitchen counter, two cups of coffee brewing on the side. I turn to look over my shoulder, grinning at the sight of my boyfriend making aeroplane noises as he tries to coax my six-month-old niece into eating. Unsurprisingly, his antics work, and he successfully spoons the mashed carrots into Eliana's mouth.
"Okay, and now she's glaring at me," Jude says, holding the spoon out of reach of her tiny fists. "She definitely gets that look from her mum."
I laugh, making my way over to him with his coffee. "Don't let Hayley hear you say that," I tell him jokingly, kissing his cheek.
"Nah but why does she actually look like she's plotting my demise?" Jude asks, dipping the spoon into the carrots again, wiggling it in the air. "Here comes the flying carrot! Vroooom!"
I smile as I watch the pair of them, in awe of how naturally good Jude is with children.
We both eagerly agreed to babysit Eliana tonight, meaning Hayley and Trent can have some well deserved time together. I've had about a million texts from the both of them, though, checking in on Ellie and making sure everything is okay. Jude took it upon himself to scold Hayley and Trent, telling them they have nothing to worry about and that me and him are taking good care of Eliana. We haven't heard anything since.
"I'm definitely Ellie's favourite uncle," Jude says after dinner. The three of us are seated in the living room, watching TV. I have Eliana on my lap, amused by her babbling and the way she imitates Jude's facial expressions.
"Did Ellie tell you that?" I joke.
"Hannie, just look at her, she loves me." He gestures towards our niece, and sure enough, her gaze is fixated on him, an adorable grin appearing on her face when Jude blows a raspberry at her. Eliana squeals, her tiny hands flailing towards him.
"Hmm, looks like she wants you."
"See?" Jude grins as I hand Ellie over to him. She instantly reaches out and grabs a fistful of his hair. "Ow. Okay, sweetheart, let's not make Uncle Jude bald, yeah?"
I watch, my heart melting a little, as Jude bounces Ellie gently on his knee. It's obvious how much she adores him, and how much he adores her.
"Would it freak you out if I told you I'm getting serious baby fever right now?" I say.
Jude looks at me, smirking. "Oh yeah?"
I roll my eyes. "Don't get any ideas, Bellingham. I'm not saying we should start trying for a baby right this minute." I lean forward to kiss Ellie's head. "One day, though."
Jude smiles warmly. "Definitely."
A little while later, my gaze shifts over to the clock hanging on the wall. "Looks like it's time for bed," I say.
Jude pouts at me. "Seriously?" He says disappointedly, causing me to giggle. He looks at Eliana. "Surely not. Look at her, Hannie, she's still wide awake." As if on cue, Ellie yawns, causing Jude's face to fall. "Alright fine," he sighs.
Together, we get Eliana ready for bed. Jude insists on reading a bed time story, giving each animal in the book its own silly voice whilst I snuggle Ellie, watching as her eyes grow heavy and trying not to disturb her when I laugh at Jude's silly behaviour. Eventually, she falls fast asleep in my arms, and I gently place her down into her crib, kissing her forehead. "Goodnight sweetheart," I whisper.
With Eliana finally asleep, Jude and I collapse onto the sofa. I lean against his shoulder, my eyes half-closed. "You're pretty good at this, you know?" I murmur.
Jude chuckles softly. "Well, it helps that I have an amazing coach," he replies, looking down at me with a grin. "We make a good team, you and I."
"We really do." I pause, my eyes drifting up towards Jude.
"Something on your mind, baby?" He asks softly, gently brushing aside a lock of my hair.
"Just thinking about us, really...and how far we've come."
"Hmm...all these months later, and I still can't believe you're actually mine."
I smile, feeling myself blush at his words. "When I think about how we used to argue, it all just seems so silly now," I say.
"Yeah...to be fair, you were always a little dramatic, Hannie," Jude teases.
"Dramatic?" I frown, playfully swatting his chest. "You were so annoying, I think I had every right to be irritated by you."
"It was funny winding you up. That death glare you used to give me, it still haunts me now." He leans in, pressing a kiss to my forehead. "But I wore you down in the end."
"Yeah you did," I grin. "Somehow you went from being the guy I couldn't stand, to the guy I don't want to live without."
Jude's eyes blaze with warmth as he looks at me, his teasing fading into something more genuine.
"I'm glad you didn't give up on me," I add, "although I'm sure I made it hard."
Jude cups my cheek. "Me too," he says, his voice low and warm, "otherwise we wouldn't have this." He kisses my lips this time, slow and gentle. When he pulls away, I'm smiling like an idiot.
We spend the rest of the evening like this, me curled up against Jude's side with my legs draped over his lap, his arm rested securely around my shoulders. I didn't think it was possible, but I fall more in love with this guy every single day. And as I nestle closer against his chest, a content smile toys at my lips, feeling happy and at ease.
