Mingi stared at Yunho for what felt like hours. The Beta felt like perhaps he’d heard the other wrong at first. So instead of asking him to repeat his words like a normal person, Mingi just stared at him as if Yunho had never answered him at all. Yunho shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Perhaps that wasn’t the best thing to share? Maybe they would toss him out after finding out he had yet to present. It was practically unheard of. Sure, it happened on occasion, but it was far more rare than even male Omegas. Yunho had never met one in his life, nor had he met someone who presented passed the age of 18. But here he was, sitting there in front of the pretty Beta, waiting for him to respond.

“Perhaps you should say something, Mingi.” Doctor Park chuckled from the doorway as he entered. He set down a tray with a bowl of soup and a fragrant tea to make sure Yunho was getting his nutrients.

Mingi coughed and shifted his weight in the chair. His face flushed when he realized he’d been staring for far too long. “Sorry, I just- Are you serious?”

Yunho watched the doctor pour the tea and took the cup gently in his hands. The warmth at his lips felt soothing as he sipped it. The flavor was just as wonderful as the scent and he hummed in appreciation. Doctor Park had been giving him different teas over the last few days and each one was so much better than he expected. Perhaps his own teas at home were just burnt or made wrong. He wouldn’t be surprised if that were the case. He wasn’t given the best of anything since he was raised by his Uncle.

Yunho glanced up at Mingi again and nodded his head. “Doctor Park can confirm it for you, if you like.”

“Ah, you told him about your presentation.” Doctor Park nodded in full understanding. He had been wondering what the two were talking about. Mingi often didn’t respond when he wasn’t sure what to say. The number of times he caught the younger Beta just staring was more than he could count on his fingers. But he was too adorable when he did it for anyone to be bothered by the action.

“Will it be a problem?” Yunho asked tentatively as he looked between the two men. He wondered how long they had known each other. Doctor Park always seemed to look at Mingi like he was his own child and it made a small ache appear in Yunho’s chest.

“No, I don’t believe it will. Not unless you give Master Hongjoong a reason not to trust you.”

“Master Hongjoong?” Yunho asked. “How many live here?” He knew Mingi and Wooyoung had been together but he didn’t know if they were friends or mates or something else. The house was quite large so he naturally assumed others lived there but then again, his own home was just his Uncle, two cousins and himself. And of course, all of the staff.

“Oh- we ah…” Mingi debated telling him. “There are several of us.” He finally settled on. He didn’t want to give away more information if Hongjoong wasn’t okay with it. As much as Mingi felt like he could trust Yunho, he knew that Hongjoong hadn’t even met him yet. His Head Alpha always only did what was best for the rest of the pack. Even if they didn’t understand it at times.

Yunho nodded his head. He set his tea cup down again and accepted the table that the doctor placed in front of him. He set the soup before Yunho and handed him the spoon. He knew the doctor expected him to eat, so Yunho did his best to appease him.

“Master Hongjoong is the owner of this house. He has expressed wanting to meet you but has been quite busy the last week.” Doctor Park explained. He handed a smaller plate with a croissant to Mingi and pat his shoulder. “I imagine he’ll call for you in the next few days.”

“Oh, yes. The uh…the business is finished I think.” Mingi stammered then quickly stuffed his croissant into his mouth.

Doctor Park chuckled at his awkwardness. He pat his back and scolded him lightly. “Don’t choke on your food, Mingi.” He said softly then smiled to Yunho.
