Jeong Yunho left his home and everything he'd ever known. At 24 years old, he was yet to present and life under his Uncle's thumb was getting worse as the years went on. Yunho knew he had to get as far away as possible. When he found himself in the...

Everyday life in the mansion settled easily with Yunho’s invitation to remain. Hongjoong had a lot of work to catch up on after the Omegas had their heats and his trip to town with some of the other Pack members. Most of his time was spent in his study or the drawing room in the East wing. Because of this, Yeosang wasn’t around as often either, choosing to spend a lot of his time with his Mate. The rest of the Pack was used to change as it happened every time a cycle occurred. Hongjoong was very present during each of their cycles and would catch up on his work once he was certain his Bondeds and Mate were taken care of.
Yunho admired him for it. While he hadn’t had the chance to talk to Hongjoong much since the evening he received the pendent, he did enjoy learning this about the Head Alpha. Strangely enough, the evening changed a lot of things for Yunho. He woke up with far less anxiety and tension each day and looked forward to being around the Pack. Unlike in his old home, where he would do his best to stay out of the way or hide out in his room at all times, here Yunho couldn’t wait to find one of them.
Mingi didn’t always stay with him but Yunho didn’t mine it at all. Mingi was Bonded to the six other members. It was only natural for him to want to be with them, or for them to miss his presence at night. But during the day, Mingi’s presence was almost constant. Yunho found it was easier to laugh and smile and just enjoy his days.
This morning though, Mingi was busy helping San with a new delivery. Yunho, not wanting to be a distraction for them, chose to wander the halls. He had taken to exploring different areas so that he could familiarize himself with the mansion. He was getting a lot better at remembering the layout and always was careful to steer clear of the East Wing. While Hongjoong had accepted him as a guest in their home, Yunho didn’t want to push any boundaries that weren’t explicitly taken down.
Yunho wandered into the dining hall and found himself enamored with the various paintings around the room. He’d seen them before but hadn’t had the opportunity to really take a look at them. Each one was incredibly done. Unique, yet all blended together as if the paintings were meant to be a unit rather than separate pieces. They weren't over-sized and bulky. Yunho wasn't exactly sure how to describe their sizes. They were roughly larger than his shoulders, though. He'd have to ask sometime what the proper term was.
The dark sky filled with beautiful stars was the first in the room. Yunho traced the contours of the shades of deep blues that gave the sky depth. Then the various stars that formed a galaxy behind silhouetted trees. Along the bottom of the painting seemed to be moonlight rose bushes. The next was filled with a dense forest of trees. At first, Yunho assumed they were pine, but upon closer inspection, he realized the trees were actually cedar. He noticed a wolf in one corner of the painting that peeked out toward a meadow on the other side. Yet the creature remained hidden in the tree line. Yunho smiled at the details in the wolf’s face and focused on the eyes. Even in the tiny details, they seemed almost familiar.
