Chapter 7: New Beginnings

"Iggy, hold on"

"Igs, can you hear me?"

"You better wake up, man!"

Igneel heard many voices every once in a while, when he felt conscience enough. But he would often doze off immediately.

When he finally woke up he saw his pink-haired sister beside him. She looked at him with wide eyes and started to sob. She jumped on top of him and hugged him tightly. 

"I though - I tought that you  - that you - died.", she cried through her tears. "I-I'm sorry. I-I'll go with-with you next time."

His head hurt a lot, but he hugged her back. It wasn't Nashi's fault. In fact, he was glad that she didn't go. He wouldn't be able to handle the guilt if she had gotten hurt, too. He heard loud footsteps run up the stairs and saw his parents appear from the door frame. His mom started crying and Natsu came for a big hug.

"Hey there, little man. How are you feeling?"

"Um, my head hurts. What happened?"

"The Gloombeast mother attacked you. It's a stealthy creature. I didn't even see it coming.", Loke said as he walked in the room. He looked disappointed with himself. 

"Oh, mom, dad. This is Loke. He was in the forest and he saved me. Without him, well, let's not think about what would have happened if he wasn't there.", Igneel chuckled in pain. 

Lucy had a confused look on her face and looked at Loke.

"Dear, we know Loke. We sent him after you."

I guess I loose cool points with this guy, huh. Wonder if he'll still teach me magic.

"Well, thanks, Loke. And, mom? Dad? I'm sorry. I was mad at you for not telling us about your time in Fairy Tail and not teaching us magic. I wanted you to be proud of me and want to actually teach me something cool. I thought that capturing a Gloombeast would call your attention.", the boy said sadly.

"Loke, you may go.", Lucy demanded and the man disappeared.

"Woh! How did he do that?", Nashi asked curiously.

"Nashi, Igneel, Loke is a Celestial Spirit. He's one of my Celestial Spirits. I used to use keys to summon these spirits from a different world to help me fight enemies. I'm a Celestial Spirit mage.", their mom answered. She look at her husband and contunued. "Your father's a Dragon Slayer. Your namesake, Igneel, was a dragon who taught Fire Dragon Slayer Magic to him."

"We were S-class mages in the past, guys. We went through some really difficult things. Things that still hurt us.", complemented their father. 

"That's why we never wanted you to go through the same pain we went through. We wanted you to live differently. But, we wrong to make that decision for you. You need to have your own experiences, but safely.", Lucy said, looking at Igneel. The boy then raised his hand to his face and realized that there was a large scar on the right side of the face, from his forehead to jawline.

"So, that's why your mother and I decided that we will teach you magic. To be able to join a guild and go on jobs one day. One day, though. You still need to train your magic and get bigger.", Natsu winked at Igneel. "We teach you magic and you kids go on jobs the right way when you're older. No more going off on your own. That's what guilds are for. Friends are your greatest strength. Deal?"

"Deal!", the two siblings yelled excitedly.
