Chapter 18

I sat in the school library with my hangover trying to read some Biology. I adjusted my spects.
Still thinking about what Xander said. Liam was hunting for me.
Kai brought me coffee, he pecked my cheek, I leaned on his shoulder. "Kai there's something I want to tell you but..."
My phone started ringing, Stud... was on the screen.
How dare Liam call me? I ignored the call.

Kai held my face between his hands. "Tell me you hooked up with someone yesterday. I'll go just beat them up. Just kidding!"

A smile lit up on his face, goodness he was so fine. I think he'd make a perfect model.
He took his round spectacles off and looked at me dead in the eye. He had the most beautiful hazel eyes but he mostly pulled Asian genes from his Korean mother, not his Brazilian father.
He was tanned though.

I held his hand before starting off, "Well, umm... Don't get pissed." He shrugged, "There's something that was going on between me and a certain guy. Like dating but not dating, I wanted to tell you but I thought you'd get pissed."
Kai let go of my hand, "Depends on the guy. Anyway it's your life, and I just don't want you to be with a casanova."
Oh no! Here we go, "The guy is umm...Liam."
Kai clenched his jaw, "Athena, you're kidding me, right? You don't fucking know him, you know nothing about him."
I tried to reassure him everything was fine and that Liam and I weren't a thing anymore.

"Athena listen to me, Liam is my fucking cousin. You don't know anything about him, did he even tell you we were related."
My jaw dropped, my eyes kind of got teary.

Liam Fucking Salvatore!

"Kai are you sure, why do you hate him so much?"
Kai took a deep breath, "By the way, it's not like I didn't want you to hook up with anyone. I just wanted Liam to stay away from you." Kai told me he couldn't tell me, he was actually Liam's cousin.
"Did he ever talk about Lauren, Lauren Park?" I said no to cover up, he would suspect we had an actual thing going on.
"Okay, Lauren is his mother and she has a twin sister, Lara Park, who's my mother."
I knew that Lauren was Liam's mother. But I was hearing something new.

Kai make me do our handshake, "Promise you're not going to get involved with him please. I'll get on my knees if you want me to." I promised because I knew Liam wasn't coming back anyway. He was with the hot Spanish girls, probably having fun. And I was out here waiting for him for a whole month.
Kai helped study some Math before leaving the library.

We grabbed some ice cream at a cafe before we went home.
We sat there in peace and the cafe was so quiet.
Kai went to grab some pastries, my phone rang again.
This time I picked, "You dimwit why are you calling after a whole freaking month? Listen, I wasn't waiting for you and..."
He cut me off, "Sweetheart, eating ice cream is our thing."
I nearly screamed looking at the camera, "You stalker, I'm going to call 911."
He added, "You're still wearing that? Nice, I'm coming to pick you up from there. Wait you're with Kai?" The halfmoon necklace!
I wanted to get my hands on Liam and hit him with a baseball bat. "Yes, I'm with Kai, any problem. We're grabbing lunch."

I heard him chuckle, "By the way, you looked sexy earlier in the library today with your new frame."
This stalker, I had a new spects frame. "I shouldn't get my hands on you."

Liam chuckled again, "But you should, Caramel. I want your hands all over my body. Im craving your touch and your caresses. Don't hold back when we meet."
