Muntazir pov:

The morning light gently illuminated the room as I woke up. I noticed Tahera moving around, her hand pressed to her stomach, a pained expression on her face. Her discomfort was palpable.

I quickly got out of bed and approached her. “Tahera, what’s wrong?” I asked, concern evident in my voice.

She gave me a sharp look. “Just go away, I don’t want to talk,” she said, clearly agitated.

Confused, I asked, “What? What did I do?”

“You never do anything,” she replied, frustration apparent.

I was worried and didn’t know how to respond. “Are you okay? What happened?”

She sighed, clearly in pain. “I’ve got my period, and it’s hurting like hell.”

I was taken aback, unsure of how to handle the situation. I decided to search for ways to help. I went to the car and, after a quick search on Google, found that chocolates could help alleviate period pain. I drove to the nearest store, buying an assortment of chocolates, sanitary pads, and other comfort items.

When I returned, Tahera was lying in bed, holding her stomach. I placed a hot water bag on her abdomen and set the chocolates next to her.

“Here, eat these,” I said gently, handing her the chocolates. “They should help a bit.”

Tahera looked at the chocolates and smiled, her mood brightening as she took a piece and began eating it like a child with a treat. “You’ve really thought this through,” she said, her tone softening.

I smiled, finding her reaction heartwarming. I decided to tease her a bit. “Begum, if these mood swings keep bothering you, maybe I should give you a nine-month leave,” I said with a playful grin.

She threw a pillow at me, though her annoyance was more playful than serious. “Shut up, Muntazir.”

I chuckled, enjoying the playful banter despite her discomfort. “Alright, alright. Just rest now,” I said, settling beside her. “I’ll take care of everything else.”

Tahera nodded and, looking more relaxed, settled back into bed. Her eyes soon began to close, and she drifted off to sleep, the pain momentarily forgotten.

Watching her, I felt a deep sense of affection. Taking care of her during these moments, despite the challenges, made me realize how much I cared for her. I leaned over and kissed her forehead gently.

With her resting peacefully, I quietly left the room to handle the remaining tasks. The house was filled with a comforting silence, and as I went about my work, I felt a profound sense of fulfillment. I was grateful for the opportunity to care for Tahera, to be there for her through both the easy times and the tough ones.

I instructed the maid to look after Tahera, who was still feeling under the weather, and headed to the office. The weight of the case against Abdul Sikandar was a heavy burden, but it was one I had to carry with resolve. Farhan, was already at the office, ready to dive into the details.

Arriving at the office, I found Farhan waiting for me in the conference room. His presence was a comforting constant amid the chaos of the case. Despite his recent health scare, he was determined to help with every aspect of this fight.

“Farhan,” I said, clasping his shoulder. “Good to see you here. How are you feeling?”

He managed a tired but genuine smile. “Better, thanks. I'm just glad to be out of that hospital bed and back in action. What’s the update?”
