"We're... not going to come here for a while," Ashwini said as I focused on activating my mental connection with Midnight, whose frown only got deeper as she immediately asked me telepathically, "You DO mean like a few weeks max right? Why are you guys so serious, what happened? Have the villagers found out about us?" "Do you," her voice in my mind seemed to crack," want us to leave?"
"Of course not Midnight, I don't want you to leave and the villagers don't know, I promise" I hurriedly reassured her as I quickly clarified to the whole group, "To be clear, we aren't trying to kick you guys out and the villagers haven't found out, so don't worry." A few relieved squawks and sighs came from my audience as I continued, suddenly feeling braver, " We won't be able to come here for 10 weeks because we are going to Prithvi for our schooling at Vidya Academy and leaving Pavitra for a while." The words tumbled out as our familiars stared at us for all of two minutes before howling and roaring quietly with laughter.
