"YOU WHAT?!"
"Shhhh, you don't have to scream" I say as I looked around and made sure Zryan wasn't coming around the corner. "I'm sorry but sis...you slept with your ex husband!" she quietly yells. "I don't know if I even slept with him. I just know I woke up in a hotel room with him beside me" I say.
As you could see, I told Serenity. I had gotten home about a few minutes ago. And in those few minutes, I was sitting here drinking the strongest liquor they owned while discussing what happened last night. I don't even drink like that.
"Look, I know you aren't going to listen to me, but you need to hear me out. You should probably text him" she says. I shook my head quickly. "we agreed we would not contact each other via message unless of a emergency" I say as I take a sip. "well this is technically a emergency, you woke up in the same room as him. Hotel room at that" she says.
She had a point, but I was never one to break no contact. "Look, unless he contacts first, I will not be contacting him" I say. Serenity sighs as she shrugs her shoulders. "if you say so".
As we continued talking, Zryan walks in. "Hey baby, Hey Nova" he says to Serenity as he places a kiss on her head. "Hey babe" she says as she smiles to the kiss. He then turns to the bottle of alcohol sitting on the counter. "woah, Nova I didn't take you for a drinker" Zryan says. "I'm not" I say firmly. "Rough night?". I didn't answer. "We'll talk about it later" Serenity says as she places a kiss on his cheek. He nods his head as he exits the kitchen to go to the backyard.
"You know, Zryan should be the person to talk too." Serenity says. "I am not talking to your boyfriend about my problems with my Ex-husband".
I ended up telling Zryan about my problems with my Ex-husband.
We sat in the living room as we waited for Serenity to get out the shower. We've been sitting here for over 30 minutes and the water is still running with music playing.
"Well honestly, I think Serenity is right" Zryan says. I groaned at his response. "of course you side with your girlfriend" I say as I take a sip of my wine. The liquor was getting to my head. "No, I'm not siding with Serenity because she's my girlfriend, I'm siding with her because she's right." He takes a sip of his whiskey. "I would understand if it was a one night stand, but Nova this is your Ex-husband we're talking about. You guys have so much history with each other, you can't just let something like that go" he says.
Damn, Serenity was right, he is the person I should've been talking too. And she was also right about me talking to Noah.
"Well, I don't like putting my guard down. Once I commit to something, it's staying that way until something tragic happens." "Like you fucking your Ex-husband who you've only been divorced to for about a month?". I playfully punch Zryan in the arm. "Okay look, I'll atleast think about talking to him. But do not count on it" I say.
As I said that, I heard footsteps and saw Serenity coming down the stairs in her favorite sweatshirt and shorts combo. "did you convince her?" she says to Zryan as she sits down in between us. "she said she would think about it" he says. Serenity then turns to me with a playful smirk on her face. "I told you he's the one you should've been talking too" she says.
TIME SKIP
I had just gotten back home after the weekend with Serenity and Zryan. I had taken the rest of the week off since I still needed a little bit more time. As I got dressed, I decided that I was going to go out and drive.
Just driving, nothing else.
I put on a black tank top with grey sweatpants. I didn't normally wear comfortable clothes outside of my house unless I was running errands or simply going to a friends house, but honestly that was about to change.
I put my hair into a bun and grabbed my keys. Next thing I knew I was already in my car. I sat there for a few seconds before turning on the engine. I turned to my radio. Not a lot of people know this about me, but music was one of my favorite things. I turned to my playlist and started backing out the parking space.
As I drove, I was tapping my finger on my steering wheel to the music. I was at a red light and it was quiet until a song I haven't heard in what felt like forever comes on.

The car suddenly honked at me. I get out my thoughts and look up to see that the light was now green. As I continued driving, I took deep breathes. According to google, it was a good way to relief myself when I had moments like this.
I suddenly realized I was in a familiar area. As area I used to live in. I then turned to my side to see Noah's neighborhood. Was this a sign? I was so close to the entrance. I contemplated about if I should go or not.
Zryan and Serenity told me I should talk to him.
But showing up at someone's house unannounced is rude.
