Short chapter. We're closing out soon 😪

----

It was a late Saturday night, and Jaemin sat up in bed alone in his apartment, snuggled up in covers with his laptop in front of him.

Jisungie was far, far away at the moment, having been honored with the privilege to go to the Philippines for a dance festival with the rest of his crew, including Mark and Haechan.

Jaemin had had a long day at work and the best way to relax after that for him was to chill by himself and watch a k-drama.

He was used to being alone, anyways.

His attention was mildly disrupted by the sound of an ambulance whirring away in the distance. He turned his head to look out the glass doors leading to the balcony in his room.

Jaemin put his laptop to the side and got up out of the bed, walking over to the sliding doors. He opened it up and stepped outside onto the balcony.

The sky was clear, and the cool night breezed tickled his face as he closed his eyes and enjoyed the air.

In the area below the apartment, children danced and laughed around the pretty canopy trees that they'd strung rainbow lights around to get into the festive spirit of a holiday.

Laughter was music to Jaemin's ears.

He turned and went back into the room, not bothering to close the door. He slid back into his bed, letting a comfortable chill settle into the room.

He lazily reached over for his cellphone on the night table, unplugging it from its charger and opening Instagram.

The first reel he saw made him smile fondly. It was Jisung and Mark dancing the "Yeah!" trend.

Jaemin felt so proud of his dongsaeng.

He continued to scroll, not really paying attention to what he was looking at. Until he came to an aesthetic post of two hands intertwined, pictured to show the rings on their fingers. The caption of the post stated, "She said yes~!"

Jaemin knew that man's hand way too well.

He could still feel those hands touching his body.

He could still remember those hands holding his face.

A bittersweet smile touched Nana's lips as he confirmed the user who had made the post.

"Babyy~"

Jeno whined as he opened the door to his soon-to-be wife's bedroom. She smiled as she put her phone down on her desk and got up to give her fiancé a hug.

He embraced her and lifted her off the ground, giving her one spin and a light kiss on the forehead before setting her down on her bed.

"What brings you here, Jeno-ssi?" she giggled, looking up at him admiringly.

Jeno plopped down next to her and leaned back on his arms. "My mom was asking me..." he teased, purposely unfinishing.

"Asking you what?" Kiara laughed and hit him playfully.

"...about the wedding," Jeno said in a more hushed tone, his eyes twinkling. "She wants to know details and stuff. Did you figure out exactly where you want it to be?"

"Yes!" Kiara sat up straighter. "I was actually just asking one of my friends about it and I think we decided on a location." Her face radiated with happiness and she leaned in toward Jeno and whispered where the wedding would be, even though it was only the two of them around anyway.

Upon hearing the chosen location, Jeno's face fell.

He looked at her with concern. "Bae, we can't do that."

"Hm? Why not?" Kiara asked, confused.

"We just..." Jeno's mind scrambled around for an excuse. "We'll block all the traffic and stuff."

"Ohh, that's not a big deal," Kiara swatted her hand and laughed. "People've had weddings there before. It's okay. Besides, when our wedding comes around, the flowers will be in full bloom and it will be so pretty. You'll love it, I promise."

Jeno swallowed. He knew full well how pretty it was. He'd been there before already, and she was right: he did love it. But...

He searched his fiancée's face, only seeing innocence, pure happiness and eagerness in her love for him.

She obviously didn't know.

Jeno pasted a smile on his face and tucked a stray hair behind his girl's ear. "Well if we don't have to worry about blocking the road and stuff, then I think we're good."

"So it's confirmed?" Kiara asked, her eyes shining.

Jeno nodded and gave her his iconic eye-smile.

"Yeah, we can start planning on it."
