Laena, a royal blood woman, was devastated when her third children were not born, resulting in the death stuck in her belly and her baby being dead. She followed the midwives' and maester's directions, eating healthful meals and not drinking wine, but her heart was split between wanting to prevent grief and keeping her children secure.
Laena had an active baby who knelt on her belly, and she felt her baby kicking her inside her belly. She spoke Valyrian, similar to her twin daughters, and her son wiggled inside her, indicating he was alive. However, the baby was not coming out. Laena endured the pain for the baby being stuck in her belly, and Daemon was in the doorway. He looked sad and concerned and that when i knew i was going to die but never looked at only 2 occasions when we talk about his brother and when we talked about Rhaenyra.
Laena failed to meet the expectations placed on her by her father, who wanted his blood on the throne or to be lord of the tribe. Her mother was rejected as Queen, pushing Father down from his overall goal. Laena and Laenor were pushed forward to take whatever spot was available.
Laena couldn't fault Mother for not stopping Father in his ambitions, as she was a princess who married into his family, and she couldn't stop him from forcing Laenor to marry someone he didn't want to.

Laena wanted to go see her brother, and to see how he doing because last time i saw him was in the wedding and that is when Joffrey, who was the man that he loved, who loved sailing and flying and was so besotted with one another that anyone would have to be blind not to notice. When Joffrey was killed in front of him, Laena felt her stomach drop. He couldn't even grieve properly before he was tossed to get marriage to Rhaenyra.
Laena and Laenor were used for the betterment of their family, and the anxiety of having a son made her into a nervous mess. She put up a good front, but when her girls were born, Laena was a little heartbroken but not disappointed because she was going to love them regardless.
Baela, particularly, was more Daemon's daughter and would have a harder time acclimating to the etiquette and rules of a lady than Rhaena. She clung onto Laena for emotional support.
Laena wanted nothing more than to embrace her daughters and hold them close to her breast, feeling their warm bodies in her arms one last time. All she wished was to go back in time before getting pregnant with this latest baby.

Laena cried out all the tears in her body because of the pain caused by the baby being stuck, feeling the evidence of her getting birth brought her death not victory. She wished that Daemon was in the room with her not in the doorway, making it easier for her to have her baby.
