This is a Pov Of Kokichi Ouma. It starts with him in his room, thinking. The killing game, the motives, and the one that was created some hours ago, his daughter. He didn't believe it was physically possible for a child to come into this game that is related to Shuichi and himself. He considered this was all an illusion game that Monokuma was putting on everyone in the gym until he held onto her and observed her, realizing that what he was holding was in fact a real living thing.
Kokichi admits to himself that he did feel some emotions at holding the baby, especially knowing it was related to Shuichi and himself but waved them off when he noticed everyone already getting too cocky of themselves, and wanting to take advantage of Kokichi, that was why he decided to leave causing some commotion.
Kokichi then remembers the conversation between him and Kirumi, knowing he lied to her, it wasn't about the others, he didn't care what they thought of him, it was because he was not ready for responsibility at all, as much as it warmed his heart, he couldn't do it, he was afraid, and he wanted his only focus to be on ending the killing game before anything else.
But one sentence made him think about the situation, Kirumi mentioned how the little girl needed him, and he took a moment to recover that sentence as he glanced at his motive video. He remembers DICE and the feeling of knowing how they are left behind. Kokichi shakes it off, not believing the motive videos because he knows they are just fake but he still can't forget about it as he stays in the bed, with his thoughts.
Kokichi then decides to look at the pile of papers he made and the board he took, everyone is up there, lined up. Slowly he grabs a paper, writing something before taping it to the board. Suzume's name appears. As Kokichi backs away, it cuts off from him to someone else pov.
The POV of Himiko Yumeno is shown. She watches at a distance as Kaito laughs at Suzume's attempts to try to crawl on the floor. Everyone seems to be watching them interact. Himiko watches Tenko and Angie start to gush over Suzume, and for some reason, seeing that made Himiko feel off with herself, it's not that she doesn't like Suzume but she can't help but feel empty as Suzume's existence is making everyone distant.
She gets distracted by Tsumugi touching her shoulder, asking if she is alright. Himiko just shrugged her off, saying she was tired and her magic needed to recharge, she walked away from Tsumugi when Tenko started calling Himiko to come and hold Suzume, which she declined because she didn't want to but Angie insisted, tugging Himiko along.
Tenko showed her Suzume, and Himiko could only watch her, seeing how much she took Kokichi's genes so much rather than Shuichi's. The baby giggled at Himiko's hat, and she grumbled not wanting to hold Suzume, out of spite she commented that she might grow up to have a similar personality to Kokichi if she was already making fun of her hat.
With that comment, Himiko realized that was a mistake to make when she noticed everyone's expression, only Ryoma and Kirumi not having a reaction. Tenko took back Suzume, with Kaito saying how they wouldn't let Suzume go down that path and that she is safe with everyone there especially when Shuichi will be the main single parent. Tenko yelled out a hell yeah as she picked up Suzume like a lion king smiling as she said that Suzume would grow up to be like Shuichi even if she didn't like males.
Himiko slowly realized as she watched everyone get close to Suzume that she was wrong. Suzume wasn't making anyone distant, she was making them closer but in a bad way, as Himiko thinks about her past, she realizes just how much Suzume will grow up to be confused and in so much pain because.
They might not let her be herself.
Himiko stood there, clenching her small hands, as Tsumugi noticed this. All she can do is smile to herself as she gets an idea.
The interaction ends, as Shuichi comes back with Korekiyo and Miu smiling to herself as she gets everyone to check out the crib that she finished making for Suzume. Himiko followed behind Tenko, that was until Tsumugi went next to her and started speaking to her about how she noticed Himiko acting strange, Himiko waved it off because of Suzume, and how this situation was new to her. Tsumugi starts to talk as they walk in the hallways with everyone about how she feels as though Kokichi being here would have made things different.
That comment made Himiko think as Tsumugi walked away, looking back at her with a calm smirk knowing she managed to change the situation as Himiko got the idea that the next time she sees Kokichi, she will try to convince him to be a parent next to Shuichi, so she won't worry about Suzume mental health.
The chapter ends with Tsumugi inside the Monokuma area as she smiles widely, knowing that if more people convince Kokichi to join in this scheme, the less she will have to deal with anyone trying to solve the killing game. She then looked toward a document, with the next motive available, she thought to herself that she would release that motive later on as she wanted everyone to be attached to Suzume first.
So that the trial will be more painful for everyone and Suzume, herself.
