I woke up the next morning to him staring at me. Maz was staring at me. I looked at him for a while before I said anything.

"What are you here for?" I said angrily thinking back to the letter last night.

"I thought I would check up on you. Is that ok?"

"Not really, considering you had the intention to cheat on me."

"Oh, you got my letter.." He said awkwardly.

"Well yeh, duh. You left it in my letter box. Did you just think the birds would eat it?"

"Sorry, I forgot I had sent it. I kind of feel bad about it."

"Well it's too late. You said you didn't want me anymore. So I don't want you anymore. There is nothing else to say. Now I would appreciate if you left." Without another word he left. I felt like calling after him and saying: "You're such an ass!" But I was in a hospital ward and I thought that the other people wouldn't like me interrupting there sleep. That's one thing that annoys me about hospitals, everyone sleeps all the time. No talking, games, phones; well that's another story. You're not allowed to call anyone unless you're really quiet, and that means in their language, silent.

My mum walked in. I don't think I could deal with her right now.

"Who was he?" She asked eagerly, as if she had a right to know.

"No one." I said back bluntly

"What do you mean no one? It must have been someone. It can't have been..."

"Mum! It was no one ok!" I had tears in my eyes. "Just leave me alone ok?!"

"Okay darling, I understand it's the hormones."

"Go away!!" She scampered out of the ward.

I didn't see her until the next day when I was discharged. She wouldn't drop the subject.
