Agony

Alexis's POV

I start washing dishes and suddenly water is gathering at my legs in a large quantity. Luke looks at me.

"Jane" he yells "start the car"

"What's wrong" she says

"I'm in labor" I say staying as calm as possible

Then the contractions hit. I scream in agony as Luke lifts me up and carries me to the car.

"I'll drive" he says as mom and Sam get in. We drive to the hospital in silence. The pain is well painful. I feel like I'm being ripped apart.

When we got to the hospital I got put into a wheelchair. Luke was by my side until he stopped at the waiting room with Sam. Mom comes with me.

I get out onto a bed and a doctor comes in with another nurse and puts me in a hospital gown.

"You are 8 centimetres dilated" says the doctor

Only two centimetres to go.

We wait for what feels like an eternity and the doctor says

"Ok when I say so and not before you need to push as hard as you can"

I nod

"Now"

I push as hard as I can. As I scream in pain

"I see the head says the nurse"

"That's good" says the doctor

"Now"

I push again. It burns. It stings. My mom takes a towel and wipes the sweat off of my face.

"Your doing great honey it will be over soon I promise"

"Now"

I push for the third time.

"Now"

Forth.

"Now"

Fifth.

"Now"

Sixth.

"Ok Alexis one more, now"

I push.

"It's a girl"

"Alexis you did great we don't even have to stitch you up" says the nurse

"Two arms and legs"

"Ten fingers and toes"

"No deformities"

"8 pounds 4 ounces"

"Healthy"

I'm crying.

"Can Luke come in now?" I ask

"Ok can you push out the placenta?"

"Yes" I push one more time and a slimy blob comes out.

"Can he come now?"

"Yes he can"

I pull down my gown and the nurse hands me the baby.

My mom starts crying. Sam and Luke rush in. They had been waiting for five hours.

Sam runs over and stares at her with wide eyes. Luke walks over and kisses me on the forehead.

"What is her name?" asks the doctor

"Lucy"

"Styles or Dallas"

"Dallas"

The nurse leaves

"You can leave tomorrow if you feel up to it but you can stay as long as you need to"

Says the doctor as she leaves

"A nurse will come to help you shower in a bit" she says as she closes the door

"I love you Luke"

"Alexis will you be my girlfriend" he asks

"Yes I will and by the way you can take me to Paris when Lucy is strong enough to travel"

"Ok"

A nurse comes in and helps me shower. Lucy is sleeping. She's so tiny and delicate.

After I got out I fell fast asleep.

(Skip to next morning)

Luke's POV

I awake in an uncomfortable chair which was my bed. Sam and Jane are gone. Probably went home. I'll just stay here until Alexis wakes up then I'll go get some food.

Alexis turns over and her eyes flutter open. "Good morning babe" she says. "Morning babygirl" I reply "I'm gonna go get breakfast". "Ok babe I'll be here".

I grab my coat and head to the Tim Hortons that's in the building. I get a box of Tim bits and a couple breakfast sandwiches.

I pay for it and walk back to the room. I knock on the door and she says "come in". I walk in and put the food down on the table. Lucy is laying on the bed next to her gorgeous mother. "Can I hold her?" I ask. "Yeah, just be careful" I pick up Lucy and she stares into my eyes. Her face lights up and she giggles. "She must really like you" says Alexis.

The nurse comes in and says "how are you feeling Alexis?"

"I'm fine thank you"

"Well you can leave now than I'll take your word for it, if you feel any discomfort or pain come straight back"

I call Jane and tell her to come pick us up. She arrives a few minutes later and I put Lucy in her in her car seat. I help Alexis into the car before getting in beside her. We drive home in utter silence until Lucy started crying.

Alexis Reyes to quiet her down but she just kept screaming. Lucy hates car rides.

"Alexis"

Says Jane

"In a few months you have to move out ok? I don't have the money to take care of another kid for any longer"

"But I only have 500$ saved up"

"I'll help you" I said

"Luke you don't have to, what is it with guys buying me stuff and giving me money"

"It's because you're so beautiful princess" I replied "and I insist"

"Well, ok I guess"
