"So, what's the plan?" Arav leaned back into the plush couch, his eyes searching the ceiling for an answer that wasn't there. Arav, Aryan, and Sanjana were sitting on the couch in the living room to make a plan to find Sanjay. Arav's friend Niranjan was also there with them.
Sanjana's voice was steady as she spoke, "We need to find my brother, Sanjay. That's the only thing that matters."
The apartment in Paris was a blend of Arav and Aryan styles: a mix of modern art and comfortable furnishings that somehow made the room feel both spacious and cozy. Aryan paced the floor, his fingers tapping a silent rhythm on his phone as he scrolled through endless news articles and social media posts.
"I know it's not easy," Aryan said, not taking his eyes off the screen, "but we have to think outside the box."
The three of them, Arav, Niranjan, and Sanjana looked at each other. Niranjan asked, " Do you have any Idea, Aryan?" "Yup, let's do a scavenger Hunt!" Aryan replied. "Scavenger Hunt!! Are you freaking serious about it?" Arav said, his voice was stern and serious. Then he scolded Aryan, "This isn't a game for kids Aryan. Be serious and logical." Aryan stayed silent and Niranjan softly held Arav's shoulder and indicated to him to calm down.
"We need more information," Arav said calmly, he was deeply concentrated on this matter. "Maybe there's something we're missing. And now, finding Sanjay is not the only goal for us. We have to find the people who murdered their parents." Niranjan looked at Arav and said, "Yes! We can't let those murderers of Sanjana's and her brother's parents live freely." Then Sanjana looks at them and agrees with them, "You are right. I can't let them live freely"
And soon Niranjan interrupted, "Oh! I'm so sorry Arav, I have to leave right now. I have an important meeting to attend. If you need any help then feel free to call me" Arav tells him that he can go and they will call him if they need any help from him. Niranjan leaves their apartment.
Sanjana was zoned out in her thoughts. The tragic event had left a deep scar on her mind, but she knew it was a lead worth exploring. "What kind of information do we need?"
"The hospital," Arav said firmly. "The one where you and your family were taken after the... the murder attempt. We should talk to the staff, and see if they remember anything."
Aryan nodded in agreement. "It's worth a shot. But we need to be careful. We don't want to stir up trouble from the past. We also have to keep in mind that Mr. Singh knows that Sanjay is alive in Paris"
They decided to call Neha, their childhood friend who now owned the hospital in Mumbai where the incident had occurred. Arav's hands were slightly shaky as he dialed her number, his mind racing with the things he had tried to bury. "What happened?" asked Sanjana noticing Arav. Then Aryan replied, "It's nothing, actually Arav bhaiya loves Neha. And he doesn't know how to open up about his feelings to her!" Sanjana giggles.
Soon Neha picked up on the second ring, her voice filled with concern. "What's going on, Arav?"
Arav took a deep breath before explaining the situation. Sanjana's eyes never left his face, her hope flickering like a candle in the wind.
"We need your help," Arav said, his voice heavy with emotion. "Sanjana's brother, Sanjay, is here in Paris and we need to find him as soon as possible. We think we can get any hint about Sanjay if we check the records of your hospital about that incident."
Neha's voice grew serious. "I'll do anything I can. I'll send over the records from that night and any information we have on file. I'll also reach out to the staff who were on duty."
As Arav ended the call, a sense of urgency filled the room. They had a new lead, a piece of the puzzle that could potentially bring them closer to finding Sanjay. "Why don't you tell her about your feelings towards her?" asked Sanjana. "Sanju, it's not the matter here right now. We need to..." before Arav could say anything further, Sanjana cut him off, "Fine, I know it. But you have to promise me that once we solve this problem you have to propose Neha didi. You have to tell her about your feelings towards her, deal?" Arav smiled and agreed.
Then all three of them wait for Neha's email. The tension was palpable as they waited for Neha's email, each tick of the clock echoing louder than the last.
Finally, Arav's laptop beeped with an incoming message. Arav tells Aryan to check it. He quickly opened it and scanned the contents. "It's from Neha didi," he said, his eyes darting over the screen. "She's found something." Arav takes the laptop from Aryan and goes through the mail. Goes through all the documents which she attached in that mail. But they didn't find anything useful. "Neha also sent a message along with the documents," said Arav, Aryan, and Sanjana looked at him and he continued, "She said that a staff member who was on duty during that time said a person named Akhilesh met Dr. Akhil and asked him to let him meet Sanjay but Dr. Akhil didn't allow him. Then later on that same day, Akhilesh came and met Dr. Akhil again with a lawyer and then he let them meet Sanjay. And as per Sanjay's wish, Akhilesh adopted Sanjay. He and his wife took care of Sanjay till he got discharged and took him with them. And after that, no one saw him ever after."
Their hearts pounded in unison as they realized the gravity of the situation. The past had come back to haunt Sanjana, and it was up to them to ensure that history didn't repeat itself. They had to find Sanjay before it was too late.
