"You're on time," Sean remarked without looking up, a subtle smirk playing on his lips. Nikko stepped further inside, the door creaking closed behind him, sealing him within the shadows of the warehouse.

"I wouldn't want to keep you waiting," he replied, trying to match Sean's confident demeanor while suppressing the surge of nerves bubbling within him.

Sean finally lifted his gaze, leaning back against the table, arms crossed over his chest. "I appreciate your punctuality, Nik ko. It speaks volumes about your commitment."

Nikko shifted, the weight of Sean's approval filling him with fragile warmth. "I came as soon as I received your note. You wanted to discuss my future with The Fallen."

A glimmer of amusement sparked in Sean's eyes. "Your future," he echoed, leaning closer as if drawing Nikko into a conspiratorial embrace. Sean's gaze pierced through the dim light, his tone softening conspiratorially. "You've shown incredible potential, especially during that skirmish with the Gorgons. It's time to harness that potential. You could be so much more than just a soldier in the trenches."

Nikko's heart raced at the implication, a flicker of ambition igniting within him. "What are you offering, exactly?" He took a step closer, eyes narrowing with curiosity.

Sean straightened, a predator sizing up prey. "I propose a partnership. Together, we can reshape the balance of power in Abasha. Nikko leaned in, hunger for power almost palpable between them. "You think I could lead? I'm ready to prove myself, but how do you see me fitting into your plans?"

"Not just lead," Sean corrected, his voice low and compelling. "You will become a cornerstone of a new empire, one where power flows from us, and we control how it's distributed."

Nikko's pulse quickened as Sean's words sunk in. "You're talking about more than just rank. You want to create something monumental."

"Precisely," Sean replied, nodding slightly. "Imagine," Sean continued, pacing slowly, his hands gesturing as if weaving an intricate tapestry of power before them. "The Gorgons are a threat, yes, but they're also a vulnerable breed, strong only when they prey on chaos and despair. If we leverage that—if you leverage that—you could be the one who leads the charge against them."

Nikko's brows furrowed as he considered the weight of Sean's words, the prospect blurring his vision yet sharpening his focus. "So, this isn't just about defeating the Gorgons," he observed, "it's about striking fear into every heart in Abasha. A chance to dominate."

Sean paused, his eyes glinting with a predatory sharpness. "Exactly. Power is a game of perception, and we can control how it's played."

Nikko leaned against the table, digesting Sean's vision. "But what's in it for you?" he asked, refusing to let his excitement blind him to the finer details.

Sean chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that filled the warehouse's corners. "Every great leader needs a capable right hand, Nik ko. Together, we can ensure The Fallen and The Weavers operate as a singular force. Your ambition fuels mine, and with that synergy, we could crush any opposition."

Nikko straightened, the weight of Sean's words settling heavily on his chest. "So, what do you need from me to make this happen?"

Sean took a step back, considering him with an intensity that made Nikko feel both exposed and invigorated. "I need your loyalty above all else," Sean declared, voice steady and unwavering. "The kind of loyalty that won't waver, even in the face of adversity. Are you prepared to leave your old life behind, Nikko? Every bond, every trust—broken?"

Nikko's breath hitched, the words igniting tension deep in his chest. "You mean Myra?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. Memories of her guidance, and her warmth, flooded his mind, raw and bittersweet.
