Chapter nineteen

"Being forced back into the darkness."

The next morning, seeing as Mikael wasn't in her family home, Vasilisa had stayed the night, where she had been dodging phone calls from Klaus all day, as she hung up on him once again as she stared at the hole in the wall where the stake had been thrown at her "staring at the wall where he almost killed you isn't gonna make him appear." Kaleb shared, as Vasilisa huffed and turned to him as he was sitting in the living room "then where the hell is he?" she asked "well you did tell him to get the hell out of your sight. And he did. Thanks to your extraordinary ability to compel people even more then one from what I've seen along with without even saying any words." Kaleb shared.

As Vasilisa furrowed her brows "you know it's creepy how much you know about me versus how much I know about you." she informed him "well, you know that I've been watching you for months and that I'm working with Esther." Kaleb shared "which makes it ever more intriguing to why you said you wanted to keep me safe when I know that she wants me dead." Vasilisa shared, as Kaleb raised his brows, standing up and walking over to her "and I thought you weren't afraid." he told her "I'm not." Vasilisa told him, backing away from him "then why are you backing away from me?" Kaleb asked her.

As Vasilisa raised her brows "maybe I just don't like you." she told him, as Kaleb smirked "I doubt that." he told her, backing her into the wall, Vasilisa looked into his eyes and as she did, being so close to him now, the sound of the blood pumping through his veins, her eyes went dark, as she quickly shoved him away from her and sped away from him.

Vasilisa had headed into the woods, knowing he wouldn't be able to catch up with her, she soon heard the sound of cheering and music in the distance, as she walked toward's it, she found a group of people seeming to be making their way to another party seeing as they were already drunk, their was a straggler lagging behind, as he stumbled over, Vasilisa took that as her chance, as she sped over and grabbed him, feeding on him.

Walking back to the house, it was night fall by the time Vasilisa had gotten back, a part of her having wanted to go back to the compound but the other didn't want to leave Kaleb, but as she walked out of the woods and headed up the steps of the house, Klaus appeared behind her "I see your not dead." he told her, as Vasilisa turned to him "and I see you've come to.." she said but stopped seeing the stick in the yard "that wasn't there before." she said, as Klaus turned around looking at it, he sped over to it and pulled it out of the ground recognizing the symbol on it "he's here." he told her, looking all around them "enough games, father! Show yourself so we can finish this." he shared.

And as he did, Mikael came walking out of the woods "hello..boy. You seem rathe impatient. Are you so eager to meet your end?" Mikael asked "I'm only eager to stand over your burning corpse again. Only this time, I tend to enjoy it more." Klaus shared, and as he did, the front door opened behind Vasilisa as Kaleb stepped out "I have traveled all the way back from hell for this moment." Mikael told Klaus "well, then I'd hate to keep you waiting." Klaus told him, and as he did, Kaleb grabbed Vasilisa dragging her into the house, he slammed the doors behind them.

"What are you doing?" Vasilisa asked him, as Kaleb turned to her "I am keeping you safe." he told her "he's gonna kill him!" Vasilisa voiced, as the sounds of fighting filled her ears, she went for the door but Kaleb stood in front of it "I am not letting you go out there!" he voiced, as Klaus screamed in pain, Mikael's followed shortly after which sounded more agonizing then Klaus's, as Kaleb and Vasilisa stood there staring at each other.
