Adrien walked back into the nurse's office but didn't see Marinette anywhere. He went back to class to see if she was there but to his surprise, she wasn't. The teacher had seen him looking in the classroom and waved him inside. He groaned and sat down beside Nino, putting his fake face back on, trying to hide his regrettable rash decision.

Why had he said that? She knows he knows now. She is probably hiding and trying to talk to Tikki about it. He had to make this right. He would have to come up with a reason he called her that. He would have to make this right.

The classes ended and Marinette never came back to class.

"Adrien? Was Marinette ok? She never came back." Alya said.

"I left her in the nurse's office, after the akuma fight she wasn't there. She may have gone home after." Adrien said, not realizing what he had said.

Her home. He needed to get there as soon as possible before her mind ran away from her.

Jumping from building to building later that evening after his father or Nathalie wouldn't check on him, he arrived back at Marinette's house. He knocked on the top window, seeing that it was locked. He heard a click and crept down the ladder.

He gave a soft laugh, as if a joke was told.

"What is so funny, cat?" Marinette asked, more stern than eager to know.

"I hope you don't care but I called Ladybug princess to see if she would like that nickname better than Bugaboo. I don't think she liked it much." Chat noir said, still laughing while sitting down on her chaise.

He turned to see her reaction and she crossed her arms and sat down beside him.

"Giving my nickname away that easily? I'm hurt." Marinette teased.

Oh. She is good. She is really good. He looked around the room awkwardly, and Marinette seemed to notice.

"Chat?"

"Yes?"

"Would you like to stay for dinner with us tonight? You did save Paris earlier today." Marinette smiled.

"Really? I don't want to impose." Chat smiled, now excited.

"Yes Chat, you have to help me in return though."

"With... what?" He replied

"Help me with my sketches and designs?" Marinette's voice got softer with each word, assuming he would reject.

"Just tell me what to do and I'm there." Chat perked up.

Marinette stood up and picked up her sketchbook, tossing it to Chat who had no trouble in catching it. Marinette turned the TV on and put on a show that they both would watch when he would come over. Chat opened the sketchbook and started flipping through it, before Marinette walked over and took it from his hands.

"Curiosity killed the cat, Chat noir." Marinette teased.

"But satisfaction brought it back, Princess." Chat smiled.

Marinette took her usual spot on her chaise beside him and leaned her head on his shoulder, letting him flip through the pages. She could feel him tense up and finally relax after a few minutes. He flipped through each page and gave feedback on each design.

As he finished looking and saw the last design with the mystery measurements, he remembered the conversation he had with Marinette the night before.

"Marinette?"

His tone made her look up from his shoulder.

"Yeah?"

The words seemed to get stuck in his throat, feeling the warmth that was against him starting to fade away as she sat up. She looked at him in the eyes which made him turn away.

"Are you wanting to finish what we talked about last night?"

He could see she was just as nervous to continue the conversation and end up leaving again.

"Uh... no. It's fine."

"Are you sure? Chat I'm here if you need to talk. I won't judge or pry."

"Ok then," He finally agreed.

"One condition before we proceed."

His ears perked up.

"No matter what happens, I don't want you to just leave again. You said you would stay for dinner." Marinette took hold of his arm determined.

"Ok, Princess."
