Time felt as if it stood still as both of their faces were close to one another. The heart racing question was thrown into the air. She was willing to know who he was. She wanted to know who he was because he wanted to tell her. But did he? His throat seemed to tighten as his mouth opened to speak. He was glad that their suits were magic or she would definitely be able to feel his palms sweating underneath. He had been wanting to tell her for days now, but why had he froze up now when she was actually ready to hear him.

"I-I'm..." He began, feeling a tickle in his throat.

He cleared his throat and started again, seeing her patiently waiting for him. He squeezed her hand, letting her know that he was struggling.

"It's ok Chat, if you aren't ready to tell me it's fine." Ladybug smiled. "It's hard to tell someone who you are under the mask."

She never got the chance to tell him who she was though. Was there someone she wanted to tell but never had the courage?

"I'm a close friend of yours.." He managed to say.

"Are you having me guess who you are now?" Ladybug rolled her eyes with a smirk as she flicked his bell.

Chat let out a nervous laugh and nodded slightly, feeling it a little easier to make her guess than to outright say it.

Ladybug leaned back, still resting her hand under his. He didn't know if it was to just comfort him or if she was allowing it because she was beginning to like him.

"A close friend huh? Do we go to the same school?"

He nodded, a warm smile beginning to form as she tried to figure it out. She kicked her legs back and forth in the air as they dangled over the edge of the rooftop.

"Are we in the same class?" She asked again, and again he nodded. His heart started to thump faster as she got closer and closer to his secret.

"Hmm... all of this time we were classmates." She said, as if dragging on the big reveal.

"Kim?" She guessed.

"You gave him the monkey Miraculous, how could I be there?" Chat smirked, teasing her guess.

"Hmm..so it has to be someone I haven't given a miraculous to then? Ivan then?" She smiled, turning her head to look at him. Ladybug laughed as he gave her a ' really' face.

"Guessing that is a no. What about..."

"Come on LB." Chat nudged her shoulder, telling her to take him seriously.

"I'm not sure! Why can't you just tell me?" She smiled, leaning her head back on his shoulder.

Chat looked down at her, she was never this fond of him. Never. Did she already know who he was? Was she just teasing him?

"Plagg, claws off." She heard him say.

A flash of light caused her to close her eyes, when she opened them she saw orange sneakers and jeans. Her eyes glided up his apparel until she was greeted to a white half shirt with a black shirt under it with 3 lines of color design. He watched as her gaze glided from his feet to his eyes. Her face went from calm to surprise with a tint of cherry as she jumped backwards.

"Adrien?" She squealed.

"I thought you were actually kidding about being in my class. There was no way!" She exclaimed.

Adrien smiled nervously and shrugged. "Ta... da?" He said shyly.

"Are you...disappointed?" He asked, seeing that she was still frozen in shock.

His harsh sad voice brought her back to her senses and shook her head.

"Of course not. Is... that why you've been acting weird these past few days? Why... you told me to leave at your house and come back later?" She asked, finally realizing how everything made sense.

"Yeah..."

"Are you alright now?" She asked, now worried.

"I..." He stopped himself, afraid of her answer.

She could tell he was nervous around her as Ladybug, so she detransformed back to her civilian self. The bright light from her detransformation caused him to look away. He opened his eyes and there saw Marinette Dupain Cheng beside him, with Tikki landing in Marinette's open hand. He hadn't realized that she still left her hand under his, but her face was even brighter than before. Plagg laid on his shoulder, grabbing a piece of cheese from his inside shirt pocket.

Tikki ate some Macaroons and gave Adrien a soft wave.

"So that person you told me you loved.." Adrien began, wondering if he had been too upfront.

"Uh... well... um..." She stuttered.

Adrien squeezed her hand and gave her a smile, which caused her to blink several times before collecting her thoughts. How could he be so perfect? How could he be Chat noir and Adrien? She had never imagined him to be her partner. Her partner that... loves ladybug. Her partner that loves her. Adrien loved Ladybug... so that means... he loved her. He wanted to know who she loved. How could she tell him she only loved one side of him? That would be terrible to say.

"I loved... you." her voice was very soft and almost seemed to be carried away with the wind.

Adrien leaned in to hear better but was met with two blue bell eyes staring at him with pleading eyes.

"What?" he asked.

Marinette took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She pushed herself forward and felt her lips brush his. His eyes widened as he realized what she was doing. He closed his eyes and leaned in to kiss her back and lightly caressed her hand. His guilt melted away. His worries melted away. His anxiety melted away. As he leaned out of the kiss, it almost felt as if he were melting. His body was warm, he could still feel the warmth of her lips against his. He could almost hear his heart beating out of his chest. This was it. She loved him right?

"You silly cat. I loved you." Marinette said, turning away.

His heart melted at those words. Adrien shifted closer and pulled on her arm and wrapped it around his neck as he spoke those magical words.

"Plagg claws out." She finally watched him turn into her partner and pick her up.

He gently let her down on her balcony and down the ladder they went. He smiled as he saw the same pictures of Adrien with hearts on the walls, knowing fully well what they really meant. He saw her creep down stairs and reappear with two teas in her hand. He sat on the chaise with a blanket and she sat down beside him, her sketchbook in her hand, tv on their favorite show. This was it. This was his home and she was his family. Sabine and Tom were his family. Nothing could beat spending his nights here resting on her shoulder as she talked about her designs, watching her closely at every single thing she did. She was amazing. Though they didn't discuss what they were, they already knew. She was his lady and he was her kitty.
