CHAPTER 15 ~~WES~~

Kay started to feel better at the end of the week but I told her it would be in her best interest to go see a doctor just to make sure nothing was seriously wrong. She agreed saying she was going after work to get a check up which made me happy to know that she was taking care of herself. Joven did ask me about Kay but he seemed a little distracted with something. I don't know what was going on with him lately, he was so excited to have his sister come here but now he seems distant. I saw him walk into the apartment, Kay was in the shower and I was sitting on the couch watching a TV show.

"Hey Wes! Where's Kay?" he asked moving over to me, he looked really tired from the long day we had at Smosh games HQ.

"She's in the shower. Dude what's up with you?" I exclaimed crossing my arms and pinning my back against the couch looking at him.

"What are you talking about?" he answered his facial expression showing me that their was something definitely up with him and he was trying to pass it off like their wasn't.

"For the last week you have been very distant towards Kay and I." I started Joven looked like stunned by the way I asked him the question.

"Sorry...I have just been preoccupied with alot of things lately. Whether I was too occupied with filming or I was dealing with my mother constantly getting on me for allowing Kay to pursue this career. Trust me she has been extremely annoying about it." Joven exclaimed sitting down on the couch next to me.

"Well she really cant choose yours or Kay's careers that you two pursue." I reminded he nodded agreeing with me, we just stared blankly at the television as the only thing that snapped me out of my funk was when I heard the shower stop from upstairs. About ten minutes later Kay was coming down the stairs in her pajamas, she wore a blue tank top and a pair of pajama pants. She had a towel on her head as she moved over towards the fridge, she looked like she had a lot on her mind these past few days. She grabbed a bottle of water moving over towards us and then plopped down onto the small couch across from Joven and I. "So is anyone in the mood to play something or in the mood to watch a movie tonight?"

"Whatever you want to do Wes...I may pass out before whatever is done." Kay smiled I decided a movie instead of a video games. I placed in American Pie a comedy movie while the previews were playing I could see at the corner of my eye that Kay was texting vigorously with someone. I didn't want to be the protective fake older brother towards her but I could see by the look in her eye that she was really stressed about something. I decided to keep it to myself for right now and when the moment seems right then I would ask her about it. I turned back to the movie, it was filled with sexual innuendos and hidden jokes that you wouldn't notice at a younger age. The movie was nearly over when I noticed Kay standing up stretching with a small yawn. "I'm going to crash, got a doctors appointment before work so goodnight boys."

"Night Kennie." Joven smirked she turned giving him a sourpuss face, I remembered she hated when Joven called her that or by her real name.

"Goodnight Joshy." she snickered as Joven's face dropped in defeat turning back to the movie crossing his arms.

"Night Kay." I smiled waving at her she stood at the top of the stairs turning to face me and she gave me a warm smile back.

"Goodnight Wes." she answered turning away from both Joven and I moving towards her bedroom and I heard her bedroom door shut.
