Ok so this story is based off the last scene in the movie Incoming on Netflix but like different setting and different ending. So spoilers but in the next paragraph im spoiling the scene.
so like benj the main character likes this girl and sings in front of the whole school for her. So that's what's happening here except it's at the camp-half blood campfire. So this story is another way Nico and Will got together. I'll make a lot of stories like that.
Nico's POV:
It was two weeks after my stay at the infirmary. I had realized over those three days that I liked LIKED the Apollo cabin's head counselor, William Solace. My "doctor." I avoided him a few days after my stay. Because how could I like him! It's not like he would like me back anyway.
But then I matured again and started talking to him again. He was so sweet to me and he was funny and my mouth started hurting when I was with him from smiling so much.
But anyways I was sitting in the front at the campfire with Piper to my right and Jason to my left. The Apollo kids, Kayla, Austin, and Will were whispering for a few minutes until Austin started playing his saxophone while Kayla strummed her acoustic guitar. Weird mix, I thought to myself, but what do I know about music?
Everyone around the campfire went silent as Will was about to start singing, but instead he said, "This song is dedicated to a special someone here." My heart plummeted. No way he was talking about me. He liked some other person.
Piper looked at me, giving me a look like ooooh he's talking about youuu. I rolled my eyes at her. She didn't need to feed into my delusions. Ever since the fight with Gaia, me and Piper had been connecting a lot more than I would have thought, I even told her about how I liked Will.
Will went on, "So uh. Nico. Nico di Angelo. This is for you." He looked at me and winked. I could feel my cheeks turn pink. I could only imagine how red my olive skin had turned. Me? He liked me?
I heard someone squeal to my left which sounded suspiciously like Jason but Will started singing some song I didn't know of course. I'm too lazy to write the lyrics to the song so it's Did I Mention from Descendants.
Kayla sang in the background when needed while Will danced around the campfire. During the middle of the song, people started clapping along and singing including Piper while she looked at me and elbowing me.
I didn't know what to think. Usually I didn't like this kind of attention but I was enjoying this to be honest.
Toward the end of the song Will started walking toward me while singing. Then he ended the song saying, "You've got me down on my knee." He was on his knee in front of me, holding my hands. "Nico, will you be my boyfriend?"
YES I WILL!!! I wanted to scream but I was such a flustered mess. I was blushing and staring into his beautiful blue eyes. He was smiling at me oh my goodness he looks perfect.
"Umm. Yes. I'd like that." I muttered. Will grinned the biggest grin I had ever seen. Like ever. The whole camp started cheering. And leaned in to kiss me when I noticed he was glowing.
"Wait. Are you going glowing." I will admit I giggled and then ruffled his hair. He chuckled and leaned back in to kiss me and I kissed him back.
Best campfire song ever.
