Neva and I drove along a long dark road where the cursed forest was to my cottage. She's driving fast. And out of control. Reason being is, one, there's no one on the road. And for two, she's upset because Mathias has a mate now. I met the poor girl through her father when Mathias took his share and left once he found out they were trying to cheat him.

Neva's father has an investment company like the humans here on Earth. Mathias also has a company. Separate from his family's company. However, it's not from the human world. It helps humans and creatures a like. He calls it the fantasy. And he gets paid by the satisfaction of his clients. That and his family company that actually is in the human world.

Neva finally gets to my cottage. It's at the end of the cursed woods in front of the lake. The only thing that's not cursed. A perfect place for me to do what I need to do.

We walk in and my two lovable blood hounds greet me with bowing their heads and standing still at their posts by the front door. They came from the pits of tartarus. A gift from an old friend. Neva pets them and they acknowledge her too.

Micah, the hound with the blue eyes takes my bag from her and heads on upstairs to the bedroom. Mia, red eyes, leads me to the kitchen, where food was already prepared and served on my glassed table. I walk over and found a note from Diana, my friend.

I cooked this for you and the brat. Hope you like it. Let me know if you need anything else.

                                           —Diana

She mostly cooked my favorites. Fished fish, garlic bread, spaghetti with meat sauce, green beans, mash potatoes, salad with Italian dressing, grilled chicken. All the works. There was also a bottle of wine that's from the fairy kingdom that I always wanted to try.  Chilled upon the table as well.

I'm going to have to really thank her for that.

"Go wash up girl. You're staying here tonight. We have work to do." I ordered Neva. She didn't object. She did what she was told. She went to the downstairs bathroom to wash, while I went upstairs to soak in a bubble bath. It felt so good upon my skin. The warmth of the water cool down my aching muscles. Ease the tension in my mind. It was just what I needed. After being away from home for so long this was heaven.

I take a look in the mirror when I stepped out. A pocket watch appears and it starts to tick down the minutes and swings from its chain as it does.

"Yes I know," I say. "We still have time. Don't worry." The pocket watch then slowly starts to fade back from the mirror. I sigh. He's getting restless by the minute. I thought. I walk out the bathroom and I saw Neva, standing in front of the door, wrapped up in my black towel.

I had to admit she did look good.

"I'm sorry but a pocket watch appeared in the mirror and it told me to give this to you."

Neva gave me a jar with blue flames inside it. If you were to look closely, you can see flashes of time throughout a young girl's life in them. "So she finally passed away did she?" I mumbled under my breath. "Who?" Neva asked. Shit. I forgot. She has wolf ears. "Someone that I use to know." I replied.
