Meanwhile, Red finally arrived at the cave of the red dragon. Carefully he went in the dark tunnel with a single opening. The light soon disappeared as he went further inside the uncharted cave.

He head the sound of a animal and got alerted. He felt his heart race. This dragon was the only animal who could help him win against Uliana. The poor boy wasn't even aware that his parents were alive. He still assumed the they were killed.

Red turned around to see if there was anyone behind him. However, behind him, two red eyes open and the vertical pupils looked at him. Red felt a warm exhale on his back, he turned around and was greeted by the sight of two red eyes looking at him.

Red froze as the dragon came in the light and he could make out it's red and black scales, wings and tail. The dragon stood up straight. The eight feet nine inches tall creature looked at Red, a five feet seven inch tall, thin boy. Both in red and black attire.

"Wow." Red was amazed by the sight of this dragon. The only one he had ever was was his mother's pet jabberwocky.

The dragon came close to him by Red didn't get scared, he stretched out his hand for the animal to take his smell and get used to his presence.

The dragon touched it's face to Red's hand. That's when Red felt the dragon's soft velvet scales. He also saw the magic belt in it's neck, indicating that this dragon is native to Wonderland. It had the heart symbol in the middle. Inside the heart, at the bottom, Red's name was magically engraved.

Since he was the first to touch it, he is the master of this dragon.

However, instead of it being a fierce dragon, it turned out to be a playful dragon. He pounched on Red and began to lick his face and Red laughed.

"Alright, alright buddy." Red laughed. "I'll take care of you from now."

The dragon bent it's head in Red's hand. It needed a name, only then would the magic in this cave allow it to leave from there. Red had to engrave its name on the heart of the magic belt.

"Your skin is like velvet." Red stated as he rubbed the dragon. The dragon rose and ip bowed it's head. In a way, it accepted the name from its master.

"You're ok with the name, Velvet!?" Red asked in surprise. "Whatever you like, bud."

Red traced the name using his left index finger in the heart. The name appeared and the magic was broken.

The dragon gave out joyous screams and flew out of the cave.

"Hey!" Red yelled. "Take me along!"

The dragon landed outside the cave. By the support of the wings, Red got on its back.

"C'mon Velvet, up and awayyyyyyyyyy!"

Before Red could finish Velvet took off and the former found himself thousands of feet above the ground. Since he flew the jabberwocky countless times, this wasn't new to him.

"I have to say, bud." Red commented. "You're fast."

The dragon made a happy noise and continued to fly according to where Red wanted to go.

Even the dragon was happy to be with a owner who will take care of him and freedom him from this cave.

Back to Chloe, she was in a fix. Behind her was the end of the cliff and in front of her was Uliana.
