It's Right (A Delena Story)

One of the five

Damon and Elena sat down in the Salvatore library, they looked through old books looking for information on the five. "Wait, I think I found something" Elena looked up at Damon, she placed the book in front of him, "There" she pointed to a passage about the original 'five' "Their supernatural destiny is to kill vampires, each hunter has one lifetime to kill vampires after that when they die the hunter's destiny is passed on... to a potential" Elena's face dropped, she sighed, "That's Jeremy, right. Connor said he was a potential, if Connor dies Jeremy becomes a hunter" Elena spiralled, "Hey, look we don't know the ins and outs, yes we know he's a potential but we don't have all the information, so stop worrying we will figure it out" Damon tried to reassure her, Elena chucked the book "We are no closer to finding Jeremy or Connor than we were 2 hours ago" she sighed frustrated, "Look, I'm going to speak to Stefan something is up with him, and I don't mean bunny munching he's hiding something, you speak to Sabrina see if she can do a locator spell or something. We will find him" Damon smiled and placed his hand over Elena's, Elena nodded and left the boarding house.

Stefan was sleeping peacefully in bed when he woke up to a note from Klaus, 'It seems your assistance is needed mate if you want information about the hunter I need you to bring me Jeremy, Connor isn't very forthcoming with information and I need to see the tattoo, he swears it hasn't grown and you see I don't quite trust him, I've had run-ins with the five, over the years not a friendly bunch.'
Klaus
"Great" Stefan sighed, "Oh, goody you're awake, let's talk" Damon barged in, Stefan sighed standing up, "Can this wait I have somewhere I need to be" Stefan sighed, "Let me guess, you need to bring Jeremy to a thousand-year-old hybrid to get the hunter who you freed, to talk" Damon smirked, Stefan looked at Damon in surprise, "how did you?" "Klaus came by, seems you were the second choice baby bro" Damon interjected, "Have you seen Elena?" Stefan asked Damon, "She was just here, seems you missed her although she isn't very happy with you, tut tut tut" Damon waved his finger, "What'd you do Stef, did you leave her for the squirrel" Damon smirked, Stefan sat back down on the bed, "No, Damon I didn't, I have been helping Klaus, and before you ask why, I'm not allowed to say" Stefan stated, "I guess Elena didn't take that well" Damon shook his head, "She doesn't know" Stefan mumbled looking at the floor, "Great, more secrets and lies" Damon replied snarkily, "I suppose you'd like me to keep this information between us" Damon narrowed his eyes, "Caroline promised she wouldn't say anything, can you promise not to tell Elena?" Stefan looked at his brother, "Stop with the pouting Stefan, I won't say a word but if she finds out that I knew and Blondie knew she would kill you, then I'd have to kill her, this could get messy" Damon joked, "I'm glad you find my dilemma amusing" Stefan sighed, "No. I find your stupidity amusing" Damon corrected, "I mean seriously Stefan, you are working with Klaus for whatever reason, he destroyed her life or did you forget that?" Damon shouted, Stefan nodded slowly, "I know, what he did Damon, but I need to do this" Stefan looked at Damon, "I can't tell you why, but just know this is for the best, it's for her. For Elena, for everything that happened" Damon looked at Stefan in confusion, "I'm not into riddles Stefan, spit it out" Damon commanded, Stefan shook his head, "I can't" he left the room. "We're not finished" Damon called after Stefan.

Matt is working at the grill and Rebekah is watching him, she walks up to him and hands him the keys to a truck, "It's yours" she smiles, "What is it?" Matt looks at the keys, "It's yours, your new truck, parked it outside, paid for it, and insured it.  It's got everything but a big red bow" Rebecca fiddles with the keys, "Here" she places them in his hand, and he pushes them back into her hand, "If that's your idea of an apology, you should give it to Elena she's the one that you killed" Matt leaves and goes behind the bar. 

Klaus stands behind Rebekah. "You're trying too hard" he asses, Rebekab turns to him "Last I heard you were leaving town" Rebekah quizzes, "Last I heard you wished me dead" Klaus states, "Well, last time we spoke you told me I was dead to you, so I'd say we're even" Rebekah turned towards the door, "So who's hurt your precious feelings this time, maybe I can warn them I'd hate for them to end up with a dagger in their back without prior knowledge" Rebekah turns to Klaus again, "No one, I decided that I needed to help my sister who is so clearly in desperate need of love and affection that she has resorted to bribery to get it" Klaus sips his bourbon, "Go away, Nik" Rebekah shakes her head, "I've stumbled upon something that you'll find of interest" Klaus states, "Doubtful" Rebekah deadpans turning towards the door, "No? Well, what if I told you I stumbled on another hunter from the brotherhood of the five, well two actually" Rebekah turns around and shakes her head, "What? Impossible" Klaus smirks, "See, and just like that, bygones. Come on love we have work to do" he drags her arm, "We don't have anything to do, I don't care about the five and I don't care about you" Rebekah smiles, "Let go of me" Rebekah grits her teeth, "Let go, Nik before I scream bloody murder" Rebekah shouts, Klaus lets go, "As you wish, little sister" Klaus holds onto her and vamps away.
