The dreams hadn't stopped. In fact, since Gray had shown her how to hold a gun, she'd found herself getting more bold in those imaginary depths of her mind, testing how far she could go.
It was safe to say at this point, there was no limit to how far she could go. Maybe she could have predicted that just because of the nature of lucid dreams, but she'd failed to account for the true meaning of unlimited, especially when it came to violence. She'd thought that even when she was lucid dreaming, she wouldn't be doing anything violent, for she wasn't a violent person. At least, she hadn't thought so.
However, she couldn't deny the rush of glee she got from being in utter control of her own little mental world; the elation that bubbled in her chest when everything was as she wanted it to be in that moment. There was no goal to any of it, and her dreams became filled landscapes of her choosing, any pesky inner demons trying to talk to her quickly dispatched in one way or another. While not real - thankfully - she still could relish the way anyone who tried to disturb her peace could simply die at a moment's notice, whether by command or by her own hand-
Waking up from these dreams was always a bit of a mood dampener. The world took away her control, but that was nothing new. At least she had the dreams now, and was getting better and better at identifying when they were dreams, especially now that they had exited the city. When they were on the road, she was always trying to sleep - she had nothing better to do, after all.
When they stopped though, Rune had taken to going on walks with Archer. Out of the whole group she'd started guiding towards the mountains six days ago, she enjoyed his company the most. Maybe it was that she knew his secret, or perhaps it was that he was the youngest of the Anarchist group, but she felt safe with him in a way she didn't even feel with Ewe or Gray - not to say she didn't trust them. He'd also been helping her with strengthening her wings again, helping her fully be able to fly rather than the manner of quickly tiring or needing to exert so much effort to get off the ground.
Today waking up, she took a few moments to wipe the grogginess away and register Gray's tail curled over her wings, simultaneously restricting how much space she took up in the space of the car and keeping her protectively close. Taking utmost care to not wake him or touch the scorpion-like barb on the end, she wriggled out from under the incredibly fluffy appendage, quietly opening the door and stepping out.
Immediately, she took note of her surroundings as she fixed her wavy hair and stretched her wings. Alastair was asleep in a sleeping bag near her feet - she almost whacked him in the face with her wing when she stretched. Across the clearing Archer and Ewe sat on a stone outcrop, chatting quietly. Ewe's curly black hair was slightly mussed up, and she was lacking a hoodie even though it was chilly outside from the cool night. Archer seemed to be fully ready for the day, his eyes glimmering with energy even though it was barely morning.
Rune slipped on her sneakers hidden under the car and approached them; they both perked up seeing her, a tired yet warm smile spreading across Ewe's face. "Mornin', kiddo. How'd ya sleep?" she questioned, pausing in her and Archer's conversation.
"Good," Rune said softly, kind of wishing she could sit too. Darn wings, she grumbled internally.
"You didn't wake up at all, did ya?" she asked, the slightest furrowing of her eyebrows making something go off in her head.
"No, why?"
"Cuz we got robbed so Al and Ewe had to go beat them up!" Archer interjected, a shit-eating grin all over his face.
Ewe sighed in an all too tired manner, pinching his arm. "No, we didn't. We coulda died. We would've if it weren't for that Sienna character disappearin'. She's a piece of work, ain't she?" she mused.
