The next day, Misa woke up early and got dressed, her mind preoccupied with thoughts of what she had seen the day before. She tried to push it to the back of her mind for a while, but throughout the day she kept glancing at everyone's faces, wondering who had been "fixed".
As she went about her day, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease and anxiety. Everywhere she went, she felt like people were watching her, like they knew something she didn't. She tried her best to act normal, but she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being targeted next.
As the day went on, she found it harder and harder to keep her anxiety at bay. She felt a constant sense of dread in the pit of her stomach, and she kept looking over her shoulder, afraid that Light would appear behind her at any moment.
As the hours ticked by, Misa's anxiety grew. She couldn't focus on anything, her thoughts consumed by thoughts of Light and what he might do to her. She knew that she had to do something, but she didn't know what. She was trapped, stuck in a constant state of fear and uncertainty.
Light was at home, feeling a strange sense of satisfaction. He had "fixed" Naomi, and he knew that soon he would fix Misa. He thought about her, her expressive face and her lively personality, and he felt a pang of excitement.
He thought about what she might look like after being "fixed", how he would change her mannerisms and her sexuality. He couldn't wait to see the results, to see her become what he thought she should be.
He sat down on his bed, his mind filled with thoughts of Misa and her "fixing". He felt a strange sense of power and control, like he was god and he could shape people's lives to his liking. He knew that some might think it was wrong, but he didn't care. He was playing god, and he was enjoying it.
Ryuk's voice cut through Light's thoughts, bringing him back to reality.
"Hey, don't forget what I said earlier" Ryuk said, his tone nonchalant. "If you get caught, I'm dumping a bucket of water over your head."
Light scoffed a bit, annoyed at being interrupted. "I won't get caught. I'm too careful."
"You might think you're careful" Ryuk said, "but you make mistakes. You're human, after all. You're playing a dangerous game, and you're going to slip up sooner or later."
Light felt a pang of irritation at Ryuk's words, but he tried to keep his cool. "I won't slip up" he said, his tone confident. "I'm too smart for that. I've thought this through, I've got it all planned out."
Ryuk chuckled again, his tone amused.
"You're cocky" he said, his smile widening. "You think you've got it all under control, but you're just a fool playing with fire. You're going to get burned, kid, trust me."
Light ignored Ryuk's warnings, pretending to be nonchalant. He yawned loudly, closing his eyes for a moment and feigning tiredness.
Ryuk rolled his eyes, clearly not fooled by Light's act. He knew that Light was just trying to deflect his concerns.
As Light yawned loudly, his baby cheeks puffed out adorably. Ryuk couldn't help but chuckle a bit at how young and naive Light looked, despite his dangerous and sociopathic tendencies.
He smirked to himself, amused by the contrast between Light's childish appearance and his cold and manipulative nature. He knew that Light was just a kid in many ways, despite thinking he was so smart and mature.
Light opened his eyes and caught sight of Ryuk's smirk, his ego feeling a bit bruised.
"What?" he asked, his tone annoyed. "Why are you smiling like that?"
"I'm just looking at your baby cheeks" Ryuk said, still smirking. "You're not as mature as you think you are, kid."
"I'm mature enough" Light said, his tone a bit defensive. "And I'm not a kid. I'm fourteen, I'm a teenager."
"Oh, wow" Ryuk said, his tone sarcastic. "Fourteen, a teenager. What a grown-up. You're still a kid, kid."
Light scowled, feeling insulted. He hated it when Ryuk talked to him like he was a child. He was more capable and smart than Ryuk gave him credit for, and he didn't appreciate being treated like an immature brat. "Anyways, I almost forgot about Misa, I needed to do something to her right?"
Ryuk chuckled again, his tone amused. "Yep, you've got your next target. You're gonna "fix" her just like Naomi, right?"
Light nodded, a small satisfied smile on his face.
"Yeah, I'm gonna make her normal too. She's got the most annoying personality, it'll be nice to change it."Ryuk grinned, his eyes gleaming with malevolent delight. "You're just like a god, aren't you?" he said. "Changing people's identities, molding them to fit your ideals. It's a bit narcissistic, don't you think?"
Light scoffed, his ego slightly bruised by Ryuk's words. "It's not just about me" he said, his tone defensive. "I'm doing this to fix people. To make them normal. I'm helping them."
Ryuk's tone turned serious again as he reminded Light of what would happen if he got caught. "Just remember what I told you before" he said, his smile fading. "If you get caught, I'll dump a bucket of water on your head."
Light rolled his eyes, still feeling confident in himself. "I get it already!"
Ryuk chuckled again, his tone smug. "Good, just making sure you don't forget" he said. "You may think you're invincible right now, but you're not. You're a teenage kid playing with fire. And trust me, fire can burn."
