Straight Note

Misa sat in her room, her heart racing in her chest. She had just finished recording a video of Light "fixing" a person, and she couldn't help but feel sick and shocked at what she had seen. She knew that she needed to share this information with L, to expose Light for what he was really doing.

She picked up her phone, her hand shaking slightly as she hit the speed dial for L's number. She waited anxiously as the line rang, her heart thumping in her chest.

On the other end, L picked up the call.

Misa took a deep breath, steadying herself before speaking. "L, I-I have something important to show you" she said, her voice trembling slightly. "I have a video, it's of Light, and what he's really been doing."

L's tone became more serious, his curiosity piqued. "A video of Soichiro Yagami's son, you say?" he said, his voice low. "What exactly is on the video?"

Misa spoke quickly, desperate to share the horrific information she had discovered. "It's... It's horrible, L. It shows Light making people turn straight, using the Straight Note. I don't know how, but he's using it to change people's sexualities. I recorded it, you have to see it!"

L's response was calm and measured, but Misa could sense the tension and surprise in his voice. "I see" he said. "And you have the video with you? You're absolutely certain it's Light Yagami in the footage?"

Misa nodded even though L couldn't see it. "Yes, I'm sure. It's definitely him. I recorded it with my phone. I have it right here, I can send it to you."

L considered for a moment, weighing his options. "Very well" he said. "Send me the video. I'll watch it and we'll discuss further about what to do next."

Misa nodded, a mix of relief and anxiety overcoming her. "Okay, I'll send it right now."
She hung up and quickly sent the video to L, watching as the little message appeared on her screen: 'video sent.'

L received the video on his end, and immediately started watching it, his eyes fixed on the screen. As he saw what was happening in the footage, his expression grew darker and darker.

He couldn't believe what he was seeing, the sight of Light using the Straight Note to manipulate people's sexuality was horrifying. He had suspected Light since the beginning, but this was the evidence he needed to confirm it. "How old is he again?"

Misa's voice came through the phone, her tone nervous. "He's fourteen" she said. "He's only fourteen, yet he's manipulating people with a straight note. It's insane!"

L nodded, his mind racing as he formulated a plan. "Yes, the age aspect is troublesome" he said. "But that's not what's most concerning, it's his actions. He's using a note to change people's sexualities, that's a massive abuse of power, especially for a kid his age."

Misa voiced her fear and concern. "I know, it's horrifying. I've known something was off about him, but I never thought it would be this bad. What should we do, L? We need to stop him before he does more harm."

Light sat at his desk, engrossed in his plan for Misa, completely unaware of the conversation between L and Misa, or the fact that they now had evidence against him.

As Light sat lost in his thoughts, Ryuk, as usual, hovered nearby and reminded him of the consequences of getting caught. "Don't forget, Light" he said, his tone slightly mocking. "If you get caught, I'm dumping a bucket of water over your head."

"I GET IT DAMNIT!" Light unexpectedly shouted.

Ryuk chuckled, amused by Light's outburst. "Ooh, touchy" he said, his tone still mocking. "Looks like someone's getting irritable."
