SKYLER: I have to tell her, Marie. It's time.
MARIE: No, Skyler, you don't.
SKYLER: Marie, she watched part of an episode of Crime Confidential about Walt. [cough] She needs to know, before someone figures it out and tells her.
MARIE: Skyler, no one's going to find out. You're Skyler Lambert, for all the world knows! Hearing that her father, the hallowed, noble science teacher was a meth kingpin would destroy her. Look at what it did to Flynn.
SKYLER: Marie, I... I have lied to her for her entire life, letting her think that her father was a perfect man.
MARIE: Look, as much as it still pains me to say this, Walt was a science teacher, and he was a good man. It's taken a decade of therapy to realize this, but I can't hold a grudge anymore. Walt was a good person once, he just lost that.
SKYLER: It isn't that simple, Marie.
MARIE: You think he stayed a good man?
SKYLER: No, that's not what I meant, it's just not that simple, you don't turn on a dime like that. You don't become a meth kingpin for no reason.
MARIE: Regardless, she does not need to know right now. Telling her would break the love she has for her father, and make him a demon in her eyes. You didn't even need his money, anyway. Think of how tragic that is. Let her think that her father was a brilliant chemist and teacher, not someone who was on a national watchlist and gets profiled on Crime Confidential.
SKYLER: Yeah, that money...well, it doesn't matter. [pause] Maybe you're right, Marie. She is too young. I'll tell her when she's older.
MARIE: I'm glad you see reason in this.
SKYLER: [pained laugh] Ha, well I live to please.
[scream]
SKYLER: Holly!
MARIE: What's going on?
SKYLER: Marie, call the police!!! [dropsphone, voice fading away] Oh my god...!
