October 15th
At the hospital, nurses and doctors can be seen walking around the halls. The families of patients can be seen speaking with their loved ones. Medical themed posters and advertisements can be seen in the various hallways. Most of them ranging from cheesy to outright condescending. It's America after all. Over in the east side of the hospital, Arsenio and detective Castellanos continue their dire conversation.
Arsenio: You've gotta be kidding me. Why the hell am I involved in this!? What have I ever done to that person? Or any person for that matter? What do my friends have to do with any of this?
Jose: I don't know, Arsenio. But the fact of the matter is that someone dangerous is targeting you. We'll have to be careful. Don't trust anyone and watch your back. Do your parents know what's been happening?
Arsenio: Yeah, but I don't see how that changes things.
Jose: I doesn't. Its just good to know they're aware of what's happening.
Arsenio: I can't believe this.
Jose: Well believe it. This is your reality now until who knows when.
Arsenio: As if I didn't already have enough going on.
Detective Castellanos gives Arsenio an empathic look.
Jose: I don't envy your situation, Arsenio. But now is not the time to pity one's self. You'll have to stay sharp.
Arsenio: I'm sure I'll have an easy time doing that.
Jose: No one said it was going to be easy, boy. Just listen to what I'm telling you.
Arsenio: I'll try. No promises, detective.
Jose: Alright, give me your number. I'll clearly be needing to contact you.
Arsenio takes out his phone and hands it to detective Castellanos.
Arsenio: Just put your number in.
Detective Castellanos fiddles around with Arsenio's contact list for a while before finally adding his number. He gives Arsenio his phone back.
Jose: Thank you. Look, it's getting late. I need to head back to the precinct. I've got a shit load of reports to fill out. Take care, Arsenio.
Detective Castellanos begins to walk away, much to the dismay of Arsenio. Arsenio calls out to detective Castellanos.
Arsenio: Where are you going?
Jose: Back to the precinct I just told you.
Arsenio: So what, you're just gonna leave us here? Alone?
Detective Castellanos stops and turns to face Arsenio, clearly annoyed.
Arsenio: That psycho attacked my friend at a populated sports event at school. You think he's not capable of coming to the hospital and finishing the job!?
Detective Castellanos walks towards Arsenio. Castellanos's walk being that of a serious nature.
Castellanos: If that psycho wanted to kill your friend, he would have done it at the school, not here. You don't get it. They left your friend alive for a reason. This is some kind of game to them. And you're at the center of it. There's two deputies stationed outside of the hospital. You're safe here. Or at least as safe as you can be.
