Third person pov (Sarang's house) :
"Do I really have to go to school today? I already understand all the topics that will be taught this year. And there won't be any lesson on the first day of school anyways." Sarang muttered quietly to herself.
Sarang has always been exceptionally clever since young. She would understand concepts and assignments a lot quicker than her peers which may be the reason why she started to be lazy and always felt assignments and projects given were so useless. Despite her lazy personality, she's still nice to people around her and loved making new friends. She's generally kind and friendly to everyone, except her parents. She used to be close to them when she was young but they suddenly just drifted after they started being strict with her at 10 years old. But she's close with her younger sister Saebi though.
Their parents have very high ranking positions, her dad being the chief prosecutor of a prosecution service and her mum being the CEO of a well-known beauty and cosmetics company. This explains why they have extremely high expectations for Sarang and Saebi. Even with the pressure to do well, they're still the sweetest girls that treat everyone with genuine care and love. The only difference between the two sisters is that Saebi is a lot more hardworking and disciplined compared to Sarang.
The Ryu family gathered to have breakfast together and it was pure silence until Sarang's dad, Mr Ryu, firmly conveyed "It's the first day of school right? Sarang make sure you take down notes and start doing your extra math worksheets after school. Understood? And Saebi, pay attention to everything your teacher says and remember to revise your science textbooks when you get home. Okay?" The two girls acknowledged with a nod and continued eating their bowl of cereal.
After finishing, they took their bags and got in the car which their family's chauffeur drove them to school safely.
Sarang's pov:
I still don't see the point of going to school on the first day. Oh well, at least I get to meet new people! I wonder what kind of classmates I will get...
Saebi and I split up after reaching the hallway to find our classrooms. "2-05" I whispered to myself while trying to find my class and finally found it at the other end of the hallway. I walked through the back door and looked for an empty seat. There were two choices for me, a seat beside a guy who's talking obnoxiously loud, or a seat beside a... woah. A quiet pretty girl sitting at the corner.
I went closer to that girl who had long black hair and really fair skin. Without hesitation, I gently asked "is this seat taken?", looking at the girl and waited for an answer.
Third person pov:
After looking at Sarang for a good 5 seconds, Jeemin finally responded with "oh nope, you can sit here." and pulled out the chair for the cute brunette. Sarang shyly thanked Jeemin and sat on the chair after putting her bag down.
Shortly their homeroom teacher, Mr Choi, entered the classroom and informed the class about some important admin stuff. "Alright, so that's all I have for now. Feel free to clarify any doubts with me. Oh yea, would you like me to assign a seating arrangement for you guys?" Mr Choi playfully questioned. Of course, the class protested and was insistent on not changing seats which he nodded in defeat and said "okay okay, I won't do it. But make sure you guys try talking to your new classmates to know each other better alright? Okay then all the best for this year and good luck with your classes. Hwaiting!"
Mr Choi left the class and everyone waited for the next teacher to come in. While waiting, Sarang bravely turned towards Jeemin with an innocent smile and cutely asked "hi! I'm Sarang, what's your name?" Stunned by the girl's enthusiasm, Jeemin timidly answered "hi Sarang, I'm Jeemin."
And that was the start of their friendship.
