Sarang's pov:

"Did you sleep well my cutie?" asked the guy.

I squinted, desperately trying to identify who he was and as I observed closer, he looked really young and somewhat familiar. "Who are you? What do you want from me?" I questioned, knowing that even if I panicked or screamed, it would be no use.

He started moving closer to me, one step at a time. "You don't know me? So disappointing. I'm Park Jae Hwan from class 2-06, next to your class."

"I'm sorry, I'll give you all the money you want. You don't have to do this." trying to talk it out with him calmly.

Not amused by my deal, he squatted down to meet my eye level and held my chin with his hand. "No no no, I don't want money." he paused.

"I want you."

Just those three words, sent chills down my spine.

At that very moment, I heard my phone ringing in my pocket. Of course he heard it too, so he took it out and checked who was calling me. He stared at the phone and scoffed. "Oh look who's calling, it's your dear best friend." showing me the caller ID that said "Jeeminie♡"

Jeemin ah, please, I don't want to die...

"Don't you dare say anything to her!" I blared desperately as my hands and feet were still tightly tied together.

Finding the situation hilarious, he began to laugh at me and responded "HAHAHA, don't you worry. The person I want is you, not her. And anyways, you can't take your phone from me even if you wanted to AHAHAHAHA look at you cutely lying there helplessly."

He waited for the ringing to stop and began doing something on my phone. It looked like he was typing something but I couldn't see what exactly was he trying to do.

Jeemin's pov:

"Jeemin ah, can we play a game after dinner? It's really fun." Jiyoon's eyes perked up. I shook my head and refused "I have to study and continue the pair project assignment. You can play with Jungeun instead."

"Yay game!" Jungeun squealed.

After dinner, I went straight to my room as usual to either study or do work. I took out my notes and laptop to tidy up the parts that Sarang and I finished for our project. Looking through, I realised there was a slight mistake in Sarang's part and wanted to change it for her. But in case she did it on purpose, I called her to ask about it.

"Hmm, she's probably playing with her phone right?" thinking to myself while waiting for her to pick up.

ring... ring... ring... ring.. ring... My phone kept ringing for 30 seconds straight but she didn't answer.

That's strange, the Sarang I know always picks up her phone or responds to messages almost immediately. Maybe she's busy with something. It's okay though, I can just ask her in school.

About 2 minutes later, I received a notification. It was a text from Sarang.

"Sorry jeemin! Was busy doing chores😭😔my phone was on silent too😓" said the text.

"Oh" I mouthed to myself and was about to send a "no worries" message until I realised something weird. I reread the message sent by her and wondered "does she ever send emojis?"

.

.

.

Something is definitely off. No matter how Sarang feels, she surely isn't someone who would use emojis. And chores? This girl is already too lazy to add emojis in her messages, heck would she be doing chores? She wouldn't let just anyone use her phone either.

Just who in the world sent that message?

I replied her "ohh it's alright, anyways where are we meeting tomorrow?" Truth is we didn't plan on meeting anywhere, I wanted to see how she responds. If she even names a place, I'm taking it as a hint that she's in danger.

Minutes passed and I was worried sick for her. I was about to call her again when I heard a notification 'ding' on my phone.

"School, sports equipment room"
